New York meets Chicago as Rivera is joined by his fellow Defected House Master, and together the two deliver some American house music excellence. ‘I Won’t Let Go’ features vocals from London’s April Morgan, a frequent collaborator of Rivera who previously worked with him on 2013’s ‘Fall For You’, now a modern record box staple. They are joined by Mike Dunn, whose signature vocal style has featured on some of house music’s most memorable tracks over the past three decades. As the two vocalists perform over the effortlessly melodic composition, Rivera displays his hypnotic production skills with subtleties that deserve a close listen.

Angelo Ferreri began producing tracks in the early noughties and has since formed two record labels and produced over 100 tracks. ‘Want To Say EP’ is his first release for the Miami-based Soulfuric family, a name that stands as one of the most renowned labels in house music. The three-track EP remains true to the record label’s soulful roots, moving through groove-laden jazz, disco and 90s influences, demonstrating the producer’s ability to create versatility with rounded feel-good vibes. The title track collides the worlds of 90s house with a real jazz influence, offering funky piano riffs behind a pumping beat. ‘I’m Talking To You’ has an up-tempo classic disco backdrop with a kicking bass and soul backing vocals. Finally, ‘The Real Ghetto’ (Extended Mix) takes a southern turn with hollering vocals and electric guitar solos. A truly sun-soaked Soulfuric Trax debut from the Sicilian-born producer.

Dr Packer’s Different Strokes features Dr Packer versions of soulful house favourites, disco standards and groove-laden floorfillers. Following two DJ mixes from Dr Packer featuring bonus tracks, the album kicks off with a bonafide classic. Dr Packer’s take on Soulsearcher’s ‘Can’t Get Enough!’ maintains all its most iconic elements, the euphoric vocals and timeless groove given a fresh-sounding elasticity. Soulsearcher 'Can’t Get Enough!' (Dr Packer Extended Remix)

After revealing ‘Heaven’ on their blissful debut, The Vision return with remixes from Mousse T. and Nightmares on Wax. The blissful original, a funk-laden track vocally-led by Andreya Triana, pairs her soulful tones with lush instrumentation to provide a sublime introduction to The Vision’s work.
