DJ Asylum is a Hardcore Techno DJ and Producer from Bathgate in Scotland who started mixing in the late 90s.  Early influences were in the Hardcore Techno scene of this time, and predominantly labels like Industrial Strength, Ruffneck and Drop Bass Network. These influences led to a crippling record addiction and some hazy memories of DJing at Hardcore  parties including Judgement Day in Newcastle, England.

It all went quiet on the DJ Asylum front as the Hardcore Techno scene diminished in Scotland, and also after selling his record collection in a moment of madness... 

This returned in the late 2010s after rebuilding the record collection and setting up the HCBX YouTube channel. His attention turned to producing after impulse buying a TD-3 to get some acid into his hardcore!  

After a number of self released EPs, releases on Point 44, Rotjecore, Speedcore Worldwide Audio Netlabel and remixes for K.N.O.R. followed. His producing is currently split between DJ Asylum and Techno project Garrison9.
