Hardstyle Battalion was founded in Sydney - Australia in 2007 by Arief Rachman aka Gong, with help from Hanzai and Owenz. Our main purpose at that time was to build a strong community and introduces hard dance music into Indonesian shores. On this year, our Facebook fan page was developed.

The hard dance music growth in Australia has increaced rapidly, with plenty of rave event took place and major club plays hard dance. Furthermore, a new kind of dance move called "The Melbourne Shuffle" has spread like virus along side with the hard dance movement.

By mid 2009, Gong have decided to return back for good and able to concentrate more on the hard dance movement in Indonesia. With news of the movement are spread well in Jakarta and has reached hard dance fans, Gong came across with Baru Prihanto aka Whizzkid, the first person who introduces and created event on "Melbourne Shuffle" as a theme in Vertigo night club and joined our Battalion.

As the time past by and news spread through out Jakarta, a new dance community called Indorockers has established taking Melbourne shuffle is their main style. By joint forces, both number of pople who love hard dance music and the Melbourne Shufflers has increased significantly. Many small and large event appeared with hard dance in it and since then the movement starts to spread into other cities in Indonesia. 

In 2010, the first hard dance event called "Elation" was introduced. The existence of the event itself has past through some difficult times. However, during this year we have recruited new members Rob Leo aka HardFactorz and Dipa aka Dipsphoton. Until present time, the hard dance music movement is still at growing stage and Hardstyle is becoming more popular amongst young people and the existence of Hardstyle is now recognised in Indonesia for the first time in history.

Below are lists of event we have created and played:

Feb 2011, Indorockers finally had their first event in roof top Pamulang Square and succeed in gathering all Shuffler's around Jakarta and we introduces hard dance music for the first time in large scale.

ELATION @ D'Barons, Ambhara Hotel - Saturday July 16th, 2011. Our first pure Hard Dance event in Jakarta in conjunction with Indorockers.

Rave Civilization @ Beer Station - Friday September 30th, 2011. Hardstyle Battalion, Photon Project & Indorockers gathering. 

Elation - The Anthem @ Beer Station Saturday 26th November 2011. On this day Rob Leo aka HardFactorz joined our Battalion.

Elation - Hard Compilation @ The Radiant Hall Saturday 16th June 2012. Dipa aka Dipsphoton joined our Battalion.

Elation - Rebirth @ D'Barons, Ambhara Hotel - Saturday 20th October 2012.

Rave event: Smirnoff Ice Pop Up Club: LONDON UNDERGROUND NIGHT at JCC Underground Tunnel Senayan Jakarta Saturday 01 Dec 2012, in conjunction with XDream (AUS) at Bass Station stage.

Rave event: TRANC3FORMERS 9th March 2013 at Ancol Segarra Beach Smirnoff Ice Pop Up Club stage.

Rave event: Smirnoff Ice Pop Up Club: Space-age Party at Sampoerna strategic square Jakarta, Saturday 9th November 2013, in conjunction with Alex Kidd and Kutski at Red Stage.
