UK mainstay Denney steps up to Rekids, backed with remixes by Nic Fanciulli and Frankey & Sandrino.

Denney's name is synonymous with quality, with previous productions landing on labels such as 8bit Records, Crosstown Rebels, and Nothing Else Matters. For his latest release, Denney teams up with London-based actress and singer Charlotte Riby to craft ‘Catch The Heat’ for Radio Slave’s Rekids, backed with two killer remixes from Nic Fanciulli and Frankey & Sandrino.

Across 'Catch The Heat' Riby's vocals bring a touch of old-school class to a warm and soulful House track, steeped in New York history with fresh production flourishes that are sure to make it an anthem this summer and beyond.

On the flip is Nic Fanciulli’s remix, the Saved Records boss, who turns the original into a more techno-leaning cut with the vocals taking on a gospel quality over pulsing drums. German duo Frankey & Sandrino’s interpretation rounds out the release with a dramatic trip dripping with elegance that will have the dance floor in raptures.

An artist with a diverse and storied relationship with the dance music scene, GMJ & Matter are proud to see Kasper Koman make his label debut with the twin-track "Sinking Sky / Biome". A veteran of more than a century of production credits dating back to a 2008 debut, Kasper Koman has seen his work signed to myriad high-profile labels including the likes of Plattenbank, Anjunadeep and Guy J's Lost & Found. From central Netherlands, Kasper has combined trademark emotion with a powerful and evocative sound that has seen his music supported by such leading tastemakers as Guy Mantzur, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J himself. Now debuting on Meanwhile, the "Sinking Sky" opener is characterised by a driving beat and metronomic hi-hat pattern. A running 16th note bassline pattern enters the fray in the second movement with a fizzing vibrancy provided by resonating and filtered effects. A cast of additional characters add to the overall sonic landscape including a beautifully juxtaposed pad progression. A spine-tingling breakdown provides acetylene-edged emotion via the extended bassline motif, before hitting its stride once more in the latter stages to wondrous effect and no small amount of production talent. "Biome" continues the narrative of raw effects-laden power, while a strong kick lays the foundation for a piercing percussive groove, adding swing to the off-beat. A well-crafted sonic palette supplies a soft chord progression of Kraftwerk-inspired imagination as a meandering array of well-placed effects, white-noise washes and rasping bass notes create a mosaic of sounds. The result is a hypnotic, angular offering that keeps listener interest piqued without a central melody seeing the 6-minute piece fly past in an instant. Take 'Rumble' for example; rawkus and bass-driven, it thunders from the speakers with understated elegance. Pretty arps twinkle and leftfield FX trip out all heading towards the main break that magically ups the energy for the second half. A work of musical genius. 
Then there's 'Dot' which starts from a deep place but packs just the same punch. Building slowly with spoken vocals punctuating the groove, the main break here is hands in the air epic. And finally, 'Adapt' which playfully uses light and dark to paint its audio picture. Like a caged lion waiting for its moment to escape, the build up is tense but the pay off magnificent.

Skatman Unveils Upcoming Double EP “ Believin’ " on Cognitive Prophecy

Berlin-based, Tunisian-born DJ, producer, and label curator Skatman is starting the new year with the release of his highly anticipated double EP, “ Believin’ ", dropping on the 10th of January via his acclaimed label, Cognitive Prophecy (CP records). Known for his genre-defying sets and productions, Skatman continues shaping contemporary electronic music's soundscape with this bold new release.

'Believin’’ serves as both a showcase of Skatman’s evolution as an artist, constantly pushing boundaries with collections that span multiple genres. This double EP is structured as a journey, blending hypnotic grooves, raw textures, and dreamy harmonies across seven tracks that flow seamlessly from the dance floor to introspective listening.

The EP opens with 'Fresh’, setting the stage with a raw, dark, and industrial broken beat offering that introduces Skatman’s sonic vision. It flows into the pulsating energy of 'Merci', a track juxtaposing minimalistic melodies with rich, textured layers. 'Feel It' injects an element of 90s house, while the title track, ‘Still Believin’ featuring the Hungarian singer Gianet, anchors the EP with its soulful vocals and hypnotic rhythms.

On the second half, 'Forget It' shifts gears, offering slight acidic elements, while 'Dream On' delivers an anthemic blend of cinematic melodies, epic vocals, and icy hi-hats. The EP concludes with 'Circle of Despair (Epilogue Beatless Version)', a meditative, ambient piece that leaves listeners in a reflective state.
