DJ Pierre @ Hard Times, Bel-Air Huddersfield [Out Of Order] 1994

The No.1 Remix and Production duo of the 1990s (Music Week) are back in 2015 on the relaunched Hard Times label and follow up from the success of Steve Mac’s ‘Time 2 Stop’ remix with a reworking of the 90s Todd Terry classic Bounce To The Beat.

Having remixed and co-produced literally hundreds of international best selling singles from artists which include Michael Jackson, INXS, Todd Terry, Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez, David Morales to name just a few, the Rhythm Masters first broke out with their classic ‘Thumpin’ remix of Todd Terry ‘Jumpin’ featuring the incredible vocals of Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown. Their unique ability to conquer both mainstream and underground arenas was testament to their skills and unique production sound. Later being initiated into a clique of producers referred to as ‘Da Mongaloids’, whose members included Armand Van Heldon, Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, Junior Sanchez, DJ Sneak, further cemented their place in dance music history.
Absent from the scene as ‘Rhythm Masters’ but remaining active on their individual projects has helped them hone their talents to a new level over the last ten years. Now back in the studio together, the same magic is still clearly present on the new Rhythm Masters remix of Todd Terry’s Bounce To The Beat. It has been tried and tested over the summer by Ibiza’s finest Carl Cox (who played twice on the first night he received it) and has been blowing the roof off Space week in, week out.

Brotherton Wing are back on Hard Times The Label with their remix of Todd's classic track 'So Everybody (Get Off It). The boys have had massive success with their first two releases, the first making Best of ADE 2014 as well as their huge remix of S-Man 'Time 2 Stop' with massive support from James Zabiela, Todd Terry & Roger Sanchez. Pure and unadulterated house with warehouse vibes, this track is made for the dance floor which still lends itself to Todd's original track.

There's not many in today’s scene whose music you can instantly recognise, but Jay Vegas is quickly becoming one of them, having developed his own unique twisted disco sound. Jay’s been producing under different aliases since the mid 90’s. His discography lists remixes for Erick Morillo’s label Subliminal and Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s front man Holly Johnson. More recently he has remixed hits for artists such as DJ Chus, DJ PP, J Paul Getto & Gene Farris. Most notable was his number 1 rework of Carolyn Harding’s classic ‘Movin’ On’. As well as holding down a busy DJ schedule, Jay also runs his own imprint Hot Stuff Records; which is becoming a firm favourite with DJ’s. Hot Stuff has released a string of number 1’s on Traxsource with his own tracks ‘Say To Ya’, ‘Luv Drug’ & ‘Body & Soul’. Jay’s unique productions have gained him support from many of the industry’s biggest names including Erick Morillo, Mousse T, Norman Cook, Junior Vasquez, Grant Nelson and Danny Rampling. We welcome him to Hard Times with his fresh take on ‘Bounce To The Beat’.
