The man in the ski mask is back to present a new downbeat stomper on Cologne's Flexidisco imprint. Building on the sustained heartbeat, Aurora's main theme slowly rises to create an infernal, body-shattering impact after the main break - and yet the result is a gorgeous and unique blend of downbeat, indietronica and dub. As always, a Hardtwald track leaves a few questions unanswered. But that seems to be intentional, you don't always have to tell everything. Apart from that, the music does all this by itself.

HARDTWALD team up with Khan (of Finland) on 'Hall' to create another soundtrack for a non-existent movie. Khan's vocals are a perfect match for the instrumentation - sublimely nuanced yet brittle. The song meanders between multi-layered pads that create an echoing tension and a stoically trudging beat framework, eventually surrendering to a slightly out-of-tune piano line and melody-giving strings.

In complete contrast, the significantly accelerated remix by Cologne-based post-punk duo SUPER ARROGANT seems to take a completely different approach, but the vibe of the original track remains intact, even if it takes a rather different route.

HARDTWALD and good friend Nisi fusioned their passion and skills for their first and definetly not their last collaboration. After almost one year of hard work and rethinking ideas, the Berserk EP found its way out of the studio. The first song "Berserk" keeps it funky and almost with a touch of retro 80's, spiced up with arps of acid.
