Music for a videogame within in an interactive Art installation at Factory Obscura, 2019. Was a mishmash of 16-bit era material, mostly sega-sounds using the YM2612-based sound generation and similar FM synths.

Most of the piece is written using the YM2612, the sound chip from the classic Sega Genesis console. There are a few lines based on the RP2C33 from classic NES consoles

For the level for the game within the game.
Most of the piece is written using the YM2612, the sound chip from the classic Sega Genesis console. There are a few lines based on the RP2C33 from classic NES consoles and also a lead in the B section is based on the SID chip from Commadore 64s. It had a grittier timbre in a way that made it a strong candidate for a lead while still feeling very expressive. I often think of the SID as like a digital violin - It cuts through a mix expressively but can also sound tame and beautiful when needed.
