You can vividly picture the flashy mofo MCing on the title track, as gold-obsessed lyrics slither out of him atop a tech-house bassline and light conga percs. “Sound of Da Underground” flips the energy, sampling the raw pipes of a wordless soulstress above dropkicking drums and a low-end bounce. To close out, “Hellraiser” takes you to the subway rattle, scurrying rats and snarling Bronx MCing of old-school New York with a skippy bump ‘n’ slide groove. Big plays incoming.
