ਭਾਦਵ ਮਾਹਿ ਚੜਿਯੋ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਹ ਦਸੋ ਦਿਸ ਮਾਹਿ ਘਟਾ ਘਰਹਾਈ ॥
bhaadhav maeh chaRiyo bin naeh dhaso dhis maeh ghaTaa gharahaiee ||
ਭਾਦਰੋਂ ਦਾ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਚੜ੍ਰਹ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ (ਪਾਸ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਾ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਲੀ ਘਟਾ ਗਰਜਦੀ ਹੈ।
My Lord is not here and the month of Bhadon has begun

ਦ੍ਯੋਸ ਨਿਸਾ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਨ ਪਰੈ ਤਮ ਬਿਜੁ ਛਟਾ ਰਵਿ ਕੀ ਛਬਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
dhayos nisaa neh jaan parai tam bij chhaTaa rav kee chhab paiee ||
(ਬਦਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਤਨਾ) ਹਨੇਰਾ (ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਰਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਖੇੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਵਿਚ) ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਲਿਸ਼ਕ ਨੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਵਰਗੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਪਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
The clouds are gathering in from all the ten directions, no difference appears between day and night and in the darkness the lightning is flashing like the sun

ਮੂਸਲਧਾਰ ਛੁਟੈ ਨਭਿ ਤੇ ਅਵਨੀ ਸਗਰੀ ਜਲ ਪੂਰਨਿ ਛਾਈ ॥
moosaladhaar chhuTai nabh te avanee sagaree jal pooran chhaiee ||
ਮੋਹਲੇ ਜਿੰਨੀ (ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ) ਧਾਰ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਡਿਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਜਲ ਹੀ ਜਲ ਪਸਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
It is raining cats and dogs from the sky and the water has spread over all the earth

ਐਸੇ ਸਮੇ ਤਜਿ ਗਯੋ ਹਮ ਕੋ ਟਸਕ੍ਯੋ ਨ ਹੀਯੋ ਕਸਕ੍ਯੋ ਨ ਕਸਾਈ ॥੯੧੯॥
aaise same taj gayo ham ko Tasakayo na heeyo kasakayo na kasaiee ||919||
ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮੇਾਂ (ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ) ਸਾਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਨਾ ਦਿਲ ਦੁਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ) ਪੀੜ ਦੀ ਖਿਚ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੯੧੯॥
In such a time that merciless Krishna has left us and no pain has arisen in his heart.919.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਲੈ ॥
kar kirapaa kirapaal aape bakhas lai ||
ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ)! ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਲੈ,
Please grant Your Grace, O Merciful Lord; please forgive me.

ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਇ ਪੈ ॥
sadhaa sadhaa japee teraa naam satigur pai pai ||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਢਹਿ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ ।
Forever and ever, I chant Your Name; I fall at the feet of the True Guru.

ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਸੁ ਦੂਖਾ ਨਾਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
man tan a(n)tar vas dhookhaa naas hoi ||
(ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ!) ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸ (ਤਾਕਿ) ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਣ;
Please, dwell within my mind and body, and end my sufferings.

ਹਥ ਦੇਇ ਆਪਿ ਰਖੁ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਭਉ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
hath dhei aap rakh viaapai bhau na koi ||
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ, ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾ ਪਾ ਸਕੇ ।
Please give me Your hand, and save me, that fear may not afflict me.

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਏਤੈ ਕੰਮਿ ਲਾਇ ॥
gun gaavaa dhin rain etai ka(n)m lai ||
(ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ!) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ,
May I sing Your Glorious Praises day and night; please commit me to this task.

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
sa(n)t janaa kai sa(n)g haumai rog jai ||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ ਕੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਏ ।
Associating with the humble Saints, the disease of egotism is eradicated.

ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਏਕੋ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ॥
sarab nira(n)tar khasam eko rav rahiaa ||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਭਾਵੇਂ) ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ,
The One Lord and Master is all-pervading, permeating everywhere.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਲਹਿਆ ॥
gur parasaadhee sach sacho sach lahiaa ||
ਪਰ ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਲੱਭਾ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਭਾ ਹੈ ।
By Guru's Grace, I have truly found the Truest of the True.

ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਅਪਣੀ ਸਿਫਤਿ ਦੇਹੁ ॥
dhiaa karahu dhiaal apanee sifat dheh ||
ਹੇ ਦਿਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਦਇਆ ਕਰ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼, 
Please bless me with Your Kindness, O Kind Lord, and bless me with Your Praises.

ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਏਹ ॥੧॥
dharasan dhekh nihaal naanak preet eh ||1||
(ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਇਹੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਖਿੜਿਆ ਰਹਾਂ ।੧।
