Fast-rising act, WVLE (pronounced Wale) is out with a new tune titled "MISUNDERSTOOD"

He teams up with fellow fast rising act, Reggie, and together they deliver smooth, relatable bars on a heavy trap-influenced instrumental. 

MISUNDERSTOOD is WVLE's first offering in a while and he plans to be more consistent with the releases while he takes y'all along on his journey of self-discovery.

MISUNDERSTOOD FEAT. REGGIE

I’m actually not even allowed to drink so when my parents hear this song I might be in trouble.
I remember walking into a house party and my friend, the host, pulls me to the kitchen table for a shot of tequila - I think it was my first time trying tequila. In my little friend group I’m known to have the highest alcohol tolerance but this shot hit different. After being peer pressured into two more shots I caved and asked for a chaser but she wouldn’t let me have some because “chasers are for the weak”.
This was what inspired Drink Me Under.

I use a lot of Biblical metaphors and quotes - I think, subconsciously, to temper my parents’ inevitable rage a bit. The line “komot all of the girls in my stable” was inspired by Ty Dolla $ign’s Horses in the Stable in case you were wondering.

I met OVMAR at Khalid’s studio back home in Ghana during the Year of Return 2019. Khalid did the mixing and mastering and OVMAR lent me his voice for the sick feature in the middle. Big thanks to both these kings.
