Melbourne post-experimental/rock trio Harmless are releasing “Here’s The Girl”, the first single off the album “Water Feature”. Harmless are fast emerging as a formidable presence on the stage and in the studio. Working together as a compositional team since 2006, the trio entered the studio in 2010 to nurture seedlings conceived years earlier. The fruits of the studio venture is their debutant contribution to Melbourne’s 2011 music itinerary. This unique outing has produced an intriguing combination of various styles and forms from the bizarre to the ornate. Cesar Rodrigues (Blue King Brown), Monty Mackenzie (Cleverhorse), and Nick Martyn (Whitesploitation) are veteran players on the local and international music scene. When writing and performing as HARMLESS, The trio contribute as  multi-instrumentalists and share production duties, creating a unique sound that transcends genres. Originally conceived in 2006 as a compositional project, Harmless entered the studio in 2010 to record ”Water Feature”, an album of emotive songwriting and shimmering electro-acoustic soundscapes, a sometimes ethereal, sometimes threatening collage of textures and rhythm that is vibrantly original yet subtly familiar.
