Footages done by the amazing Traian Tulbure , filmed in Roslin Glen on Equinox day (The day in which the night and the day are balanced!!! )
The song was written  by myself in Mexico in 2020 (during a 10 day fast I did in the middle of the mountain).  It came to me and I channelled it in one go after having spent the last 3 nights in the extreme cold and stormy wet weather (finally the Sun returned and I survived!!) 🙂 and with the expansion this song came in!
This song has been played, sung and recorded by myself tonight in one go (about 4 hours today!!) ... It is my day 39th song in 39 days..  (my challenge is to try more or less to do one song every day of 2021),
All the video editing has also been done today in one go. As today was my birthday in the mayan calendar (the day of the White Resonant Mirror), and I am a white Resonant Mirror, I wanted to celebrate by offering and gifting this piece of music and video artistry with the aim to bring some more beauty into the world, simply because it is in giving that we receive , and I love sharing! 🙂. So hope it will bring you some healing, peace, or whatever you need.. Maybe even a bit of a kaledoscopic trip to refresh your brain cells 🙂! enjoy:

Day 4 --  This song I learnt while I was travelling in Mexico while spending time with some incredible medicine brothers and sisters praying around the sacred fire for 4 days and 4 night, keeping the fire lit..  It is a Temazcal  (sweat lodge) song , and in the lyrics refers to Mexico (the land of Turquoise and Obsidian)..   It is a prayer for the land.. I adapted it putting some pretty full on harmonies :).   but I am going for it and I honour its origin and the fact that there are many recorded version of it online..

Inspired by the famous words of Rumi I wrote this song after a Medicine Ceremony about three years ago.. I am happy to have finally recorded it today and gave it some life.. Definitely can do more, but it was amazing feeling to just let it down and now been able too listen to it..

Today we are going to Georgia ..  I love Georgian music for what it evokes and the incredible harmonies.. I miss singing with my friends as the real vibration of these songs it is so healing.. Harmonies today were harder to match, also because I was trying to record keeping a low volume of my voice not to disturb my housemates..

But still is a good start! :)

This song I learnt from my friend Neus many many years ago.. She had learnt it from Protest in Harmony (Activist Choir) .. Originally this song was sang by  black slaves  in America as a working song! 

Beautiful to honour it for my friend Sophie today! :)  Freedom and Strength .

​I am just learning to produce music and this is a huge commitment which I am excited and determined to stick to as I deeply know that I need to keep developing and offering my voice to the world .

I am committed and I know that it won't be easy...  Yet I do not have to do it on my own!

This is a Moondog Classic!! Moondog was the name of a singing group of friends in Edinburgh who used to meet in different living rooms every Monday to sing harmonic songs..

Miss them dearly.. but today I have just gone for one of the old classic we used to sing in a round..

Day 17 - LAI LAI LAI "Round" (moondog Classic)

Day 18 - Got at the end of a very tiring day.  

Woke up to do a therapy session at 8:30 and worked all day, felt lots of emotions coming up all day and was pretty bitter with myself.. then I found discipline, sat down and did my practice, honoured my commitment to record something, and this wee harmonic songs came out! 

I am satisfied by the perfection of the process, and although all the songs I am recording are taking me over an hour to record, mix and edit, I am happy to do it, and feel really joyful inside.. 

So I am sharing some of that joy. :)
