This is a test track I whipped up in about 4 days. I've upgraded from the computer keyboard and freeware LMMS software to an entry-level Alesis QX25 MIDI keyboard and supplied Ableton Live Lite 8 software. I'm just starting out so the mixing may be a little bland. Please provide comments and let me know how I can improve! Thanks!

Spacial Reminisce (Original) [Melodic Downtempo]

This track experiments with some new concepts I've learned, and moves away from the more ambient "Chillout" genre. I discovered a lot of new things in producing this one that I plan to refine. Hope you enjoy it.

Sailing Clouds (Original) [Progressive House]

I'm starting to finally realize the importance of layering and mixing background tracks to the back, as well as continued importance of plucks in addition to pads and bass. This one has a percussion line that participates more in the song as well, since I've noticed my drums are usually rather weak. I'm also hoping my mixing skills are improving. As always, please feel free to offer comments/suggestions for where I am lacking and where I can improve!

Here's my Miku V4 English cover of You Are Loved (Don't Give Up) by Josh Groban.
I wanted to imitate his version of the song, including voice inflections and breaths, as best I could. Since Miku English doesn't have different voice styles like Soft or Dark, I had to do my best with the standard parameters. Let me know what you think!
