Hailing from Argentina, Tomy Wahl has been a fixture of his country's electronic underground for the better part of a decade. With a sound that finds a cohesive balance between afro, progressive and melodic house, the Buenos Aires resident has compiled an impressive resume, notching releases on well-established imprints such as Eleatics, Sincopat and Stil Vor Talent, while earning support from Adam Beyer, Richie Hawtin and Solomun. Movement Recordings has also been a landing spot for Tomy, with his label debut 'Out of My Mind' coming in November of last year, a release which led to projects for Black Rose and Exx Underground. Now, following an EP project for Beatfreak Recordings, Tomy returns to Movement with 'Vagator', alongside remixes from Tash and SEQU3l.

Each track highlights the signature style of its creator, while collectively pushing the boundaries of the techno genre. This compilation is a testament to the innovative spirit of Luigi Madonna's imprint, Contempo, and a must-listen for enthusiasts looking to experience the cutting edge of contemporary techno.

"The Collective VA Vol.1" is  showcasing tracks from Alessandro Grops, Fvndo, Vxlr, and SYM. Alessandro Grops evolved from minimal sounds to a distinct techno style, earning acclaim from industry leaders. Fvndo, who is no longer a stranger on Contempo's radar after his "Reasoning" EP, showcasing a unique sound that resonates deeply with techno enthusiasts. Andreas Wechsler, known by his stage name Vxlr, hails from Berlin and has carved a niche for himself in the techno scene with his innovative soundscapes and compelling productions. SYM, a Techno DJ and producer from Barcelona, blends heavy grooves with dark sequences and house influences, continually evolving his sound beyond the 90s styles that first inspired him.

Opening the VA is Alessandro Grops who delivers "Depulso," a track that combines driving beats with an immersive Dark atmospheric Sound that creates a captivating journey. Fvndo's "Stimulation" offers a rhythmic exploration with pulsating basslines and intricate synth work, designed to energize and engage. Vxlr's "Side Chick" features a darker, groove-oriented sound with deep, growling bass and hypnotic rhythms. Lastly, SYM's "Raw Vibes" lives up to its name with raw, unfiltered energy, fast and spontaneous rhythmic shifts, making it a standout for techno purists.

Although Andreas Quiring and Frederik Laaser, better known as The Reason Y, are already main stays in the Berlin scene, it's our great pleasure to present them to the world as the most recent additions to the Second State roster with their stunning debut EP; 'Hide and Seek'.

Over the course of three superb tracks we dive deep into the heart of Planet TRY and explore a world ripe with stunning colors, rich textures and an abundance of life. It begins with the aptly named title track 'Hide and Seek' which takes place somewhere in a dark cavernous grotto as a light flickers in the distance. As you move closer the light grows brighter but without warning quickly vanishes leaving you lost and wondering. The light flickers again and the chase continues only to end the same way it began again and again.

If 'Hide and Seek' is a game in the dark depths than the next track 'Sumatra' is a ride through the rain soaked jungle under the full moon. While faint sounds of howls and mating calls echo between mud soaked footsteps, drops of liquid bounce off your skin creating an orchestra of organic enlightenment.

The final experience on Planet The Reason Y is 'SXF' and it's a farewell to the world just discovered. Glimmers of shape and color slowly come together to reveal the bigger picture; a floating gem amidst the backdrop of infinite space as the new world is departed. As speed increases and distance grows the once overwhelming new world new turns to a tiny pebble and slowly retreats into the pitch black leaving only the warm ambience brought on by new journeys. 
In the words of Hunter S. Thompson: "Buy the ticket, take the ride." and experience life on the planet of The Reason Y.

ELEVATE - a label started by one of the most respected duos of the moment Pig&Dan, focuses on releasing music to make the listener feel just that - 'elevated'. Since its inception in 2012, its seen a stream of hits climb the charts, featuring artists including Amelie Lens, Monika Kruse and Julian Jeweil. Not forgetting the smash hit No.1 techno track from new artist Aitor Ronda with 'Tweezer'.

The first remix pack for their 2016 album 'Modular Baptism' was released on the 5th May, and now we can reveal the next set of artists to feature on the eagerly anticipated 'Part 2' with remixes from Anna V, Rehmark & Nukkah and GAIST.

Her second track on ELEVATE, Anna V drops an atmospheric remix of 'Modular Baptism' with slow building pads, crisp percussive presence and a sharp kick.

Also choosing the title album track, but taking it in a completely different route, new duo Rehmark and Nukkah make their debut with a futuristic twist on the original. Syncopated deep percussive bubbles modulate higher in frequency throughout their rework.

Label regular GAIST comes at us with a warehouse gritty late-night version of 'Silk'. Its warped growling synth stabs, alongside jacking hi hats wraps up the final part of the remix pack, from some of the up and coming producers of today.
