After several parties we have thrown so far, we decided to connect our personal favourite artists to make a pre-release - a compilation. Prime Meridian is a starting point of a new era of Harmony. We had put together five elements, which brought five tracks - each of them having its own power, but even stronger when they are one.

Introspective, nostalgic and hypnotic. These are the adjectives that describe the sounds of the young Italian duo Primal Code. 
Gabriele and Davide come from Milano, a musically very active city to form artistically. They immediately jumped into the scene with slow melodies and sumptuous grooves found in their first EP "Eteru", released by Hypnus Record. Last January they reconfirmed themselves with the second EP "Artemisia", this time on Konstrukt, which is getting an excellent response. 
A lot of other their original tracks can be listened on “the Memoir” podcast series, where you can find a focus hour of their whole music.
A personal and musical experience emerges in the songs, creating an atmosphere in which all listeners’ senses are involved and projecting them into a sentimental level. Their music is an expression of a primordial instinct that dwells in all of us.

Next episode of our podcast series is currated by Hydrangea. She got our attention since her very beginings just few years ago. The music she creates doesn't rush on tempo, so she can carefully make a tour in between the flowing soundscapes and dreamy pads. Since her birth she always was tightly connected with nature, which is her inexhaustible source of inspiration. Even though it is not a long while since the day she started to put out material, she gained respect of numerous members of the ongoing scene of deep techno and relased music on labels such as Silent Season, Annulled or the most recent Natch Elements.
Roots of our friendship are bringing us back to the year 2017, when she performed together with Milena Kriegs (Milena Glowacka) and Inner Shapes on party organized by our collective.

Johannes Tuchelt aka Jamida of Valian Kollektiv (Berlin/Germany) is a very good friend of ours and since the release of the first compilation (Prime Meridian – HARMONY000) also a hard member of the Harmony family. Those, who attend our parties should know him quite well, he has been presenting his dj skills and live performances in Prague multiple times. We are undescribably proud to release his work as the first vinyl press of the Harmony rec. label. With 5 tracks and one remix from Ness, which could be found above, he fluently continues to walk the path of his previous track ‘Explorer (Aer)’, that could be found on the previously mentioned compilation.

Another sequel of our podcast series is curated by Ness of The Gods Planet, an Italian artist who recently launched the label called Ness Reworks. Debut of this newborn project was done by our favorite duo a_000 and we definitely look forward to see more from there. 
What is also worth mentioning is the fact, that Ness is the very first remixer who participated on our label. In this mid-tempo dubby podcast he featured the track 'Wad' which is also to be found on Jamida's Shelter EP.

For the next episode of our podcast series we brought a very special guest. It is Birds ov Paradise from Sweden, whom you had the opportunity to discover after the announcement of our second vinyl release, where he is one of the remixers of Alfred's new track. Recently he also joined the Hypnus records family, which we consider as a very natural move, which resulted in three part EP series. This project was released successfully and enabled for purchase just few days ago, you shouldn't wait to get it.

We are very glad to welcome Michel to our podcast series. There is a good chance to remedy your absence, if you are one of those who missed him in Prague in May this year, where we hosted his live debut. He was featured within the Hypnus Records showcase, that is a record label established by himself in 2013. 

Shortly after that he defined a sub-label called TOME, a medium for releasing strictly his own work, that tries to dissolve his fascination for the occult in his musical production.

With a fresh nordic breeze welcome Efraim Kent for the next sequel of Harmony Rec. podcast.

Raised in a family of musicians Efraim started playing instruments at an early age, but he soon found a passion for drum machines and synthesisers and started producing electronic music.

After reading an article about the legendary Japanese festival “The Labyrinth” Efraim discovered the sounds of Italian techno duo Voices from the Lake and was deeply inspired by their ritualistic approach to music. Something that also resonated with childhood friend Dorisburg. So the two set out on a musical journey that eventually lead to Moroccan label Tikita and the release of “Tecken”. Expect to hear more from Efraim very soon..

But first let this be a soundtrack to the slowly approaching autumn and all its beauty!

Harmony hasn’t been gifted from Alan Backdrop just once. Attendees of our parties know him as a DJ and also as a live artist within the a_000 project. Via our fourth vinyl release, we are proud to present him also as a composer.
 
Delwa and Lán are bright tracks full of life and positive recharging energy. Mighty dr_c_ is teleporting the listener into the middle of a mystical forest. Walking through it and discovering an unknown area releases the pleasure from the groove it carries. When all of a sudden there is a remix from Feral crawling out of the bushes like a venomous serpent. After that you may be sure that there is no way out.

Alan Backdrop - Natives [HARMONY004]

Luigi Tozzi is becoming a regular contributor to our collective. Over the years, he has thrilled us by coming to the Czech Republic to perform his live acts or DJ sets to both Harmony parties as well as the yuggadus club nights curated by Alfred and Yan at Ankali. 

The most recent time (in connection to us), Luigi proved that he is a well-established artist was the release of his remix of Jamida’s ‘Wad II’ [HARMONY003]. A track which is telling about situations you have dealt with and a personality that is moving forward. 

The podcast which he recorded exclusively for our series is turning the mood in the opposite direction. It will creep through a swampy habitat, heavy thoughts and uncertain times. Relating to the current season, which every year evokes strong emotions in people, Luigi once again shows what an always-on-point artist he is.

One month passed another and today we are bringing music mixed by Dutch DJ Van Anh.
It was a really beautiful day in the Amsterdam, back then in summer 2019, when we met her for the first time. Half a year after that well-spent afternoon in the iconic Red Light Radio, Van Anh, who is using her real name as an artist moniker, is verifying her DJ versatility she is known for. In this mix she is showing some glitchy breaks of her collection and her ability to layer them with ease. 
In the Netherlands, Van Anh runs an event organization Isotoop. As a crew, they are putting effort in organizing club nights, as the highlight of their activity may be considered the ‘Under The Stars’ festival, that took place in the Moroccan desert. 

On 9 April Isotoop will expand to Prague and will host a night in Meetfactory. Aside Peter Van Hoesen, Artefakt, Deniro, Multicast Dynamics and Van Anh herself, Alfred and Yan from our collective were also asked to join the roster. So, take this as a kind invitation from them and hopefully see you there!

A core member of the Harmony Rec. crew, Yan has been digging for deeper and dubby techno since 2014 and has become one of the finest in his craft. Together with his closest pal Alfred Czital he is a resident of the Yuggadus night – the sort of an extension of the sound and activities they are devoted to with Harmony. Whether he draws from organic techno, rich minimal or let’s his housy side speak, his emphasis on the groove earned him a steady supply of peak time bookings and growing number of international invites. Yan’s secret power lies in closing sets, he’s able to make endings feel like new beginnings.

A member of Harmony Rec. and a man responsible for two releases in the discography of the label. Johannes Morgenstern aka Jamida has been a confidential friend to us since many years ago. Frequent exchange between Prague and Berlin led to harmonization of our musical path, life opinions and souls in general. 

Adding his contribution to the podcast series was thus inevitable accomplishment. In this particular mix, he was not afraid to put on some stompy kicks and broken rhythms. By those plus other fuzzy means, he brings the listener to his compact ritual. 

Valian Kollektiv is a group of artists that was established by him and other like-minded people in Berlin. Together they are throwing parties and publishing music – in the following days, they are releasing a beneficial trilogy EP. The profit from the sales will flow on the account of Mission Lifeline, that helps the people in the refugee camps in Europe in the hard times of the worldwide virus contamination and lack of drinkable water. Stay updated about that. Good music is on the way!

The idea of publishing sets from Harmony parties has been growing in our heads since the first recording. Today we are proudly presenting you the first one. 

The fourth annual collaboration with the guys of nite vibes, who in the past two years have invested almost all their energy into crafting a fundamental cultural space that is unique for the Czech Rep. – Ankali, exceeded the expectations we brought from last year. The retention tank in Braník became a venue which we, after three years of flooding it with immense atmosphere, know more than any other and there is no description for the happiness that comes after all the ideas successfully projected into this particular space.

With music it works similar way for Yan. Over the years, he mastered his skills of crowd control and even though he picks a different slot every other time, he has always managed to drive people crazy and let them spread the word about their best moments on the dancefloor. In 2020, he confirmed that the powers in his performances are not accidental.

Shoal aka Kenny Kneefel is the freshest member of Harmony Rec. Early in the year he joined the family with fifth vinyl release of the label, which since then has raised many hands on various dancefloors and was included in numerous mixes and video streams.
After his Prague debut in Ankali on the Harmony Label Night we were sure that we need him come again.  We kindly ask him to bring his first techno live set ever to the National Library, where we threw one of the most challenging party in our history. 
It is a huge pleasure every time, when each of the acts achieves some solid musical output, delivers some heat to the crowd and the whole event has a certain evolvement. Kenny was definitely no exception - enjoy this one hour of his mesmerizing beats.

Harmony Recordings | Shoal live - Harmony Open Air 11.7.2020

After a short break, we are returning with a new episode of the Harmony Rec. podcast series. Today, we have the honour to finally introduce an artist who has been on our radar for a while. 

Konduku aka Ruben Üvez is a Berlin-based DJ and producer, originally from the Netherlands. Starting his career by releasing a well-received debut LP - "Kiran," Konduku quickly got recognition among the listeners. Since then, Ruben has been a part of several impressive music projects. His work has been released on record labels such as Delsin, IDO and Idle Hands, proving Konduku as a natural talent. Producing is not the only thing that keeps Ruben busy.  His DJ CV includes a variety of prominent European clubs beginning with De School and ending with Berlin's about blank. 

The set itself describes Konduku in detail. Excellent mixing skills accompany the unique music style that we would describe as groovy and organic. The transition from summer to autumn is often uneven. Still, we believe that Konduku's set will make it softer for you. Enjoy.

The sympathy which is carried by our collective towards Amsterdam-based producer and DJ Vand was described few times already. Visitors of Harmony or Mas Que Nada parties had a chance to catch Vand taking care about welcoming the first attendees at the controversial event in the National Library or teaming up with his colleagues (Ben Buitendijk & Shoal) in packed Wildt club and forming a frantic Dutch Troika for a 100 % dance party. 

As a producer and a sound wizard, by mastering his skills in the studio he has found the path to press a record on labels such as Nyame, Alpenglühen or Nuno Dos Santos’ SoHaSo. 

In this mix, Vand is driving faster and sliding deeper. We are very excited about him showing another deejaying approach of his, pleasantly distinct from our previous experiences.

ante portās, to date better known under pseudonym Raleigh, is a Czech DJ and commuter that frequently moves between Prague and Brno. He is a member of a well-known Prague brand Harmony Records and a moderator of a newly emerging podcast radio Isolate. His new alter-ego ante portās gives more space for experimentation and brings music in a calmer and more relaxed spirit, which attracts attention with confident handwriting. In his music, he slows down older, well-selected tracks and mixes them with the latest material creating an original combination of different moods across multiple genres.

ÉTER Podcast #23 ante portas

Laura BCR has her ear to the ground. The French DJ and On Board Music label founder is always on the lookout for new music to spin, or for artists to join her monthly Rinse France radio show. She takes her name from the much-loved and now closed, Berlin record store, Bass Cadet Records, where she spent a couple of years behind the counter. These days, Laura is best known for her transportive, deep techno and dubby ambient DJ sets, which have brought her to some of Europe’s finest venues, including a residency at Het Magazijn in The Hague. Her own productions first surfaced in 2020 and were included on both of On Board Music’s stand-out, charity compilations. More original music is in the works, as well as a continuous evolution behind the decks.

In the very last days of the year 2020, we are bringing a mix by Garçon. A co-founder of Amenthia Recordings and a Basel Elysia club’s resident, who is notoriously known for his extended performances on the most sought-after techno festivals such as Parallel or Organik (to be found on @garcon profile), in which he shows not only his wide record collection, but most of all an elaborate web of synapses between them. 

Although this home-recorded DJ set is ‘only’ one hour long and doesn’t allow to go as deep as in the previously mentioned mixes, somehow it reflects and summarizes this year’s hard period of many of us being locked-down in one place and mentally imprisoned.

The Milano-based project, Orion, accepted the invite to the following episode of the Harmony Rec. podcast series. Nicoló and Simone, the founding members and artists standing behind Orion Records announced their fifth EP, Clinque, a few days ago. Both producers are also members of a newborn project Pale Product involving Giegling’s Ateq (https://www.instagram.com/pale_product/). The podcast contains unreleased music coming out on Orion Records.

In year 2014 there was an idea coming from heads of five youngsters with a passion for music. They wished to gather their dear friends at musical events. During past couple of years they had been part of numerous parties, hosted by their colleagues, whether in Czech Republic or abroad and had thrown several own ones, in which they have put some effort to make the people feel nice and cosy. The spirit of the Harmony parties had usually an impression of something like a family celebration - and now the family becomes a label.

However, the main purpose of our activity is not going to change at all. From now on we hope that we will be able to connect friends of good music in much wider area by releasing it on our own imprint.
