The 44th Sudoku is a sudoko play in Sonic Pi of a Zoom recording I made on December 30th 2017, during the modest, small and intimate gathering in a small chapel in a suburb in Maastricht that preceded the cremation of my mother's body, who suddenly & peacefully passed away, just after Xmas, on December 27th of that year.

The 6th Sudoku switches between —on the A-side— a mono mix down of a 4-track recording of my PressePapier's "Green Dress & Door Swinging", made in November 1981 in our rehearsing and recording space in basement of Marnixstraat 323 in Amsterdam (Gerrit Bos plays the drums, Mick Deutz the bass, I do the bottles and the vocals) and —on the B-side— a direct to K7 recording of me playing the piano in the basement  of T.A.'s parents's house on 9 Cavendish Avenue in St. John's Wood, London NW8. That recording was done on December 8th 1981.

Sudoku 202006

This Sudoku uses a K7 recorded when I visited  New York to participate in the 4th edition of the Conflux psychogeography festival. That was in September 2007, On one side of the K7 I am in a car. This is a 'studio re-make' of a Sudoku that first I performed live at La Générale Nord-Est on Sunday October 29th 2019, as part of an event named  'Do Not Interrupt your Activities', curated by the Brussels-based duo « Espace P()tentiel ». It uses a 'Chroniqure Sonore' K7 recorded in 2001, just after the 9/11 that gave the new millennium its sudden historical & bitter twist. One side of the tape has the sound recorded from a CNN 9/11 broadcast { "0h my god! The second tower is down..." }, on the other side there is the sound of a French speaking children's toy that I recorded at a friend's house { « Joue avec moi ... shoot avec moi ... » } [c-sc 59]

The K7 used in this Sudoku is among the tapes the precise description of whose content was contained in the little notebooks that were part of the things in the bag that got stolen from me in the Thalys train from Liège to Paris, some time in 2006. This 21st Sudoku uses one of two cassettes that together contain a full recording of one of the weekly shows that I did for the Amsterdam pirate radio station 'WHS', in the early 1980's, this one in the evening of January 22nd, 1983. It switches between a mid 1970s tape of my Maastricht band Quirass, and a piano tape collage (which, sort of, from time immemorial to me has been known as 'Hendrik Achtling Klavierstuk I', made as part of an [unfinished] early 1980's project with Ronald Heiloo and Tim Benjamin. The name 'Hendrik Achtling Klavierstuk I' probably was what Ronald Heiloo had called his litlle square drawing or painting, probably lost forever, that served to me as the recording's "score" ... The 22nd Sudoku uses a K7 recorded early 2001. On one side, I am at the Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris, the morning of February 8th, attending the cremation of Iannis Xenakis. The other side was recorded on the afternoon of the day before, February 7th, in a metro station, probably that of Châtelet-Les Halles. [sudoku drift: 21, stretch: 41] [c-sc 49]
