Concordat (The Pact) I

The ship diverts to AI pilot M.R.T.H.A as they escape the dead station, after destroying what they believe to be a creature sent by the Sun Eater. Eamon is injured, barely conscious and suffering. As they needed to build up gravitational pressure to re-ignite the ship, they've been slung into 
 the trajectory of a nearby gas deposit of an unearthly particle. The only choice is to pass through to continue their escape from the station.

The ship airtight locks all seals and vents, however the gas persists, and passes through some of the damaged seals. Eamon panics, kicking away the seeping plumes while gripping his left arm, he screams before succumbing to the intoxicating effects and is knocked into a giddy sedation. He giggles and exclaims the gas's potent painkilling effects, pointing at his arm in what to him seems a hilarious situation, before collapsing into his seat in a lethargic mix of pain and pleasure, as the ship tries to go as fast as the resistance from the gas cloud will allow, in turn pushing more gas into the cockpit.
