Harry Axt - Deliberately Selected

Rainer Maria Silke aka Berk Offset is in many respects a kind of brain surgeon and at the same time literature researcher. The practice lies directly under a high-voltage line. His laboratory, which is registered under Wakkler draws from the mainline as well. Here he regularly invites like-minded high-voltage scientists that likewise are excited for experimentation. With the colleagues from Snork Enterprises he sometimes presents as a guest lecturer.
His base in scenic Jena is Musikkrause. Still this isn't the place where he kicks up his feet and the telly is mostly used in a rather disassembled form merely to have a look at what is actually going on inside; that is, how he can manage the electric driving in beats and transform them into off-set styled charges.

For his second Musikkrause he has apparently installed a few cables in the Thuringian Forest to among other things come up with those rare feverish glandular whistlers.
This active compulsion (of course with the proper official forestry license) has resulted in a collection of 4 electrical hunting trophies and therewith proven the Riemann hypothesis: the forest is sound.

The least populous forest inhabitants, a cross between owl and deer, who especially in the night seek the closeness to people. Especially in the foggy, lightening-infused and wide open spaces of the hopper sound, he at his most comfortable.

The obskure Obstkur (the obscure fruit treatment)
With so much 	perseverance sitting in high seats and telescopic viewing, he naturally needs some kind of culinary relaxation. Of course, nothing tops the fresh plate of fruit. From a selection of 60% highly distilled fruit essences, there comes the mid day snack.

Careful, this arachnid is a cheeky fellow. Very trusting, eats from your hand. At the same time he'll snap you up with the quickness and plunge every feeder, dragging you into his dance hole.

The Sackkiefler (the Hexapod)
This small friendly monster, lurks through the needle woods digs himself like a mole under forest ant mounds where he chooses to chill out and feast. He emerges stuffed from the subterranean world and steps with his claws rhythmically, with his mandibles chewing on everything.

Two well-known names from the Amber Recordings family have teamed up on catalog number 045 and deliver a real techno highlight with "Not A Downer". We are talking about Stefan Brandenburg and the lady in the team Stereophonie.

Both are in the first few days of Amber Recordings, locked up in the studio, and came out with a production that reflects very well both artists. Stefan Brandenburg who is more in the pure techno-area settle and the more in the Tech-House affiliated Stereophonie. "Not A Downer" is exactly the balancing act between the two and makes it very impressively clear how well the two harmonize in the studio. So perfect for Amber Recordings.

But that is not enough, there is still a new act to welcome. Arts & Leni deliver a perfectly complementary remix and give the original a different look. A great debut and hello in the Family.

In the future, you will hear a lot from everyone involved, and you will want more. But this release shines for the first time, which should not be missed.

Doctors Without Borders
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) mobilized a massive emergency response to the devastation from the January 12 earthquake in Haiti. Medical teams working in the three existing MSF hospitals in Port-au-Prince immediately began treating people who were wounded from the quake, including their own injured colleagues and patients. MSF teams have treated thousands of patients following the earthquake at locations in and around Port-au-Prince by providing surgical and emergency medical care, addressing the post-operative needs including rehabilitation, physiotherapy and mental health, and distributing tents, blankets, and hygiene and cooking kits to people still displaced or lacking sufficient shelter.
MSF is responding to the recent cholera outbreak in St. Marc by setting up cholera treatment centers, doing community outreach to inform the population of the disease and also assessing the needs in other parts of the country. Further reinforcements of medical and water and sanitation supplies have been to support the teams on the ground.
MSF has been working in Haiti for 19 years and were operating three emergency hospitals in Port-au-Prince before the earthquake.

Berlin producer Harry Axt entered the club fray with a succession of EPs on Jan Driver's Grand Petrol Recordings nearly a decade ago. Over the ensuing years, Axt’s stature has grown as he’s released on renowned labels such as Leftroom, Snork Enterprises, Overdrive and AFU Limited. Dropping a split 12" with Siriusmo on the aforementioned Grand Petrol, 

Axt has  remixed luminaries like Christopher Just, Broombeck, The Horrorist and Miro Pajic. More recently reworking classic rave anthems by Yves de Ruyter and Cherry Moon Trax on fabled Belgian techno bastion Bonzai Records.
