From Nowhere

Another track from my first album "From Nowhere"
This is a slightly more funky jazz track that serves as a laid-back jam.
Bass solo on this is a first for my recordings.

Get This Down

A sort of, ambient/modern jazz track. I don't know, I'm not too good at defining genres really. This track was inspired (although sounds nothing like) Scott McLemore's album "Remote Location" and the Portico Quartet's self-titled album.

Summertime (Gershwin)

Taking the melody and chordal accompaniment from John Dowland's "Flow My Tears", we have translated the lyrics from Schubert's "Der Doppelganger".

The horn part, written as a counterpart, represents the doppelganger of the vocalist, with the two of them meeting face to face in the final verse.
