I had fun with the last few days of the 21 Days of VGM challenge!

But I won't lie, this is very blatantly inspired by Yuji Toriyama's "Bay/Sky Provincetown 1977," one of my favourite compositions of his--I wanted to emulate this style at least once in my own way, so this was a prime time to try doing so, I felt.

I accidentally found the fundamental drum loop used in the original track last night while going through my sample library (X-Static Goldmine, by the way). Decided to go and make a cover of a track that's been a part of my life for a very long time. Enjoy!

Rusty Ruin Zone - Act 2 (Saturn)

This song is my first attempt at trying D&B, or should I say "Mega Drum & Bass?" Anyhow, I wanted to try out D&B for quite a while now. I may have gotten inspiration from Jun Chikuma's work for Bomberman Hero, which I used to play a lot on my Nintendo 64 when I was a kid.

Audio recorded directly from Deflemask into Audacity and then normalized.

I had this track commissioned by the legendary Woofle to go along with a piece of art I had commissioned by HazPainting earlier this year. Check out the art here - https://imgur.com/a/wIE0GSN This is yet another dream come true getting to work with a favorite musician who I've been following for several years. With this song there are 4 phases it goes through. This matches with the 4 phases of the day for the art. The images transition so smoothly (https://imgur.com/a/zmlEyOI) , as does the music. My only requirement for Woofle was to make the track something she loved, and I got the impression she had some fun making it :) With her permission I am posting here.
