Leo Mars

I wrote this song about a time in my life where I felt I didn’t understand my purpose - I frequently felt like an imposter to my own self. I wondered if I had one. I know today that every moment I live and breathe is a chance I get to create my purpose by doing what fulfills my soul and what makes my cup full & my heart feel whole. Making music is one of those things and expressing myself through it is the most liberating feeling. Although this is a song about some heavy emotions, I hope that it can also bring you peace; because even through the toughest emotions we can find a strength we’ve never known. And a release that leads us to clarity. And in this clarity, we can remember who we’ve always been, and we can learn to give ourselves grace in the acceptance of all of life's ups and downs, the good, the bad, the “beautiful,” and the “ugly.” We have always been purposeful, simply by being ourselves - existing exactly as we are. Anything that has taught us otherwise, has only deceived us of this truth. I have always been myself. I live with myself everyday - and I will continue to rise in the power in knowing who I’m meant to be, by creating who I want to be. I share this now as I’ve made It made it through to the other side many of these emotions. Although nothing is ever perfect, I can say with confidence: I know myself, I honor myself, I trust myself, I love myself, and I feel purposeful, by simply being myself. Enjoy. xo, Sharun.

Myself

This is a track I wrote years ago, while I was sitting in my room during a time I was learning to face the darkest parts of myself. I used to feel afraid of the shadows and think that if I faced these parts, that I would be unlovable or that they could never truly be accepted. I found during this time and even through creating this song over the course of several years now that it is beautiful to accept all parts of yourself. Even the parts you once deemed unlovable. This is a fun bedroom punk/alternative rock/pop song that is different from everything I've made thus far. It is so authentic to me within the style and the lyricism and telling of this part of my journey, that I am more than excited to share. It also of course has a rap verse which I loved creating and tying into this genre. Here is "I don't mind it." Enjoy :)
