(with much help and learning from Mick Ahearne (Harcourt Valley Recorders). i was already involved with geoff doing live gigs and felt honoured when he and nic quittner asked me to record this 1st solo acoustic album.  this was the beginning of our recording journey together for which i will be forever grateful.

This was the 3rd album I recorded - it was done at Harcourt Valley Recorders, once again with the guiding hand of Mick Ahearne. we would stay at Micks enjoying the open country hospitality and also that of my brother Warrick who lived round the corner. (he made the most excellent rabbit stew and hosted the most unreal jams around his kitchen table).

Andrew Pattisons Troubadour - Iconic in Australian roots and folk music. I was privileged to do sound for his weekends at Campaspe Downs from 1998 to 2005 - lots of recordings from local and international folk and roots heroes. Del Rey - met her this one time -what a blues lady!

dave and I went to school together in geelong - jammed a few times too back then. i recently saw an interview with dave saying he didnt really get the whole school thing and playing music at the time was a way of rebelling against it - i was doing the same thing at the same school for the same reasons. this here gig was some 28 years later at st andrews and what are the odds? i ended up working with dave and tiff fairly regularly during that period- love his music always have, always will!

so... as you can probably guess, my recordings span a time frame from the early 70's when i was writing heaps and jamming down the coast with my brother and several mates - to the present, where its not about my music but catching great performances from the many amazing artists i have the privilege of working with these days.
so its an eclectic mix of - me and my brother warrick's musical history and the stuff i've managed to catch from more recent times.
