Released originally on Jay Cunning's Sub Slayers imprint back in 2012, Toronto Is Broken's debut "Move It" EP turns a whole 10 years old!

Christian Hoffmann, then 18, dropped this EP at the height of the Future Jungle movement, merging old school rave and jungle with then modern production techniques of dubstep and d&b at 140bpm. The release made a massive impact on the bass music scene, most notably with "Spirit Song 2012" which was supported by everyone from Sub Focus, to Paul Oakenfold and The Crystal Method to Netsky. The track was also officially licenced as the main theme at Boomtown Festival's Arcadia Spectacular showcase for a number of years, becoming an official anthem of the festival.

A decade on, TIB has released 3 full length studio albums, "Section Nine" (2015 Sub Slayers)", "You Are (Not) Alone" (2018 Viper Recordings) & "Clare" (2020 YANA Music) shifting his sound from multi-genre bass music to a blend of modern metal and dancefloor drum & bass, creating a true identity to his sound. As well as releasing on a whole range of big labels such as Viper, RAM, Technique and even Republic records. As well as now running his own label YANA Music, Christian has found his home with US metal / electronic crossover label FiXT.

To commemorate the release, it only felt right for things to go full circle and be celebrated on Toronto Is Broken's own imprint YANA Music, with remixes from three of it's upcoming stars, Lateral, Mojay & Corrupted Mind, artists of whom are in a similar position to where TIB was 10 years prior. The EP also features the original mixes from the EP, as well as "Spirit Song 2017" which was a 5-year anniversary rendition of "Spirit Song 2012" originally released on Sub Slayer's 50th release.

Viper Recordings are proud to be back at the world’s largest Drum & Bass celebration, hosting a stage again at this year’s Let It Roll 2018 Festival in Czech Republic. To celebrate, we have pulled together an immense new EP with seven brand new, exclusive tracks from some of the best new names in the game.

Dutchmen NCT & Franky Nuts team up together with legendary MC, Coppa for the opening track ‘Bad’, a sultry, murky tune featuring the cutting vocals of Coppa that will certainly surprise fans of either artist – this one is heavy! Australian duo Ekko & Sidetrack, one of the hottest acts in drum & bass at the moment, deliver ‘Combat’, an ominous, foreboding tune with an unforgettable drop that is sure to be a festival favourite this year.

Manchester-based, North Base teams up with fellow Mancunian Longman for ‘Ten Men’, an eerie, visceral, neuro-esque roller that is sure to send shivers down spines worldwide. Austrian duo, Dossa & Locuzzed give us a taste of their signature funk sound with a dark, sinister twist that is set to be an instant favourite amongst the heads.

New unreleased artist, Giganti, comes with his debut track with a surprise upper cut with ‘Roll It’, a powerful ballad that proves he is a name to watch. Veteran Kiwi-producers, Trei returns with ‘Paradigm’ is an energetic tune with whimsical vocal chops, vibrant synths, and thumping drums that is nothing short of flawless.

The last track on the EP, ‘Dick Chasen’, from Spanish trio Maniatics, is perhaps the heaviest of them all, serving filthy, minimal neurofunk from start to finish.

All in all, the compilation once again represents Viper’s diverse strengths as a label, and is a fitting celebration for one of the scene’s most important events of the year.
