TERRATUR POSSESSIONS is proud to announce the monstrous debut full-length album of Icelandic Black Metal band SINMARA, to be released xx.xx.xx on CD and DLP.
The album was recorded, mixed and mastered over a period of 2 years by Stephen Lockhart at Studio Emissary, resulting in a world class production, and features stunning artwork and layout from Alexander L. Brown.

SINMARA was previously known under the name of Chao, having released under that name the demo cassette Spiritus Sankti also on TERRATUR POSSESSIONS. The change in name sees the band develop upon their foundations of chaotic agression contrasted with haunting melodies, bringing forth a newfound maturity and focus of composition, masterful musicianship and a zealous intensity of execution. Along with the change in name there has also been a change in line-up, and the band now features members of Wormlust, Rebirth of Nefast and Svartidauði.

Aphotic Womb takes the listener on a descent into a writhing underworld of diverse soundscapes and themes, from the harmonic chaos and orchestrated madness of “Verminous”, to the mournful elegy of the title track, and culminating in the eschatological epic “Mountains of Quivering Bones”.

This track features on "De Praestigiis Angelorum" album by VI (set to be released on September 25th via Agonia Records). 

VI is a French black metal project made of current and ex-members of Aosoth and Antaeus. 

Their debut full-length release, "De Praestigiis Angelorum", bestirs within the characteristic black metal niche developed by the said bands, with the addition of expanded guitar work, choirs and subtle sample parts. 

VI describes their music as "extreme, devoted black metal with illuminated chaos".

MACABRE OMEN was founded in August 1994 by Alexandros and Mournful on the island of Rhodes, Greece, in the town of Kremasti and Ialysos. Their first release was the ''Secrets of the Moonlight'' demo (1994). By 1995 as a four-member band with Alexandros on guitars, Lefteris on vocals, Mournful on bass and Stephen on keyboards, they released their second demo ''Before Darkness''.
By 1996 only Alexandros and Mournful were remaining in the band, with Alexandros also taking over the role of lead vocals and with the addition of Polyvios on drums and Michalis Savvakis as a guest on keyboards released the promo tape ''Olympus'' where the typical sound of MACABRE OMEN came to be.
In 1997 Polyvios left the band and Stephen returned on keyboards. The same year they released a split 7'' with Godblood from Cyprus.
By 1998 Alexandros moved to London, England and MACABRE OMEN became a one-man-band. With only Alexandros remaining and performing all instruments except drums and the split 7'' with Walhalla from Finland was released in 1999.
The band continued as one-man releasing the four-way split ''None Shall Escape with Wrath'' in 2000 and the split 7'' with the Norwegians Ad Inferos in 2001.
The band went on a small hiatus until 2004 when the two Italians Gionata Potenti on drums and Claudio Alcara on acoustic guitar joined the band. MACABRE OMEN, then working as a as full act again, released their first full length album after eleven years since their creation.
In 2006 they participated on the compilation by Kyrck Productions & Armour ''Hellas - The Black Death Anthology - 1989-2006'' with the song ''We Won with War''. Also in 2006 and 2007 two split 7'' EPs were released as a tribute to Bathory.

Macabre Omen -  The Perfect Sound of North vs. South

Invictus Productions and Iron Bonehead Productions announce April 7th as the international release date for the massively anticipated debut album of Belgium's Possession, Exorkizein. Invictus will handle the album's CD release while Iron Bonehead will handle its vinyl LP version.
One of the hottest bands in the modern black/death metal underground, Possession's ascent has been rapid but never exacting, and more than rightly earned. Forming in 2012, their debut demo, His Best Deceit - released jointly by Invictus and Iron Bonehead, in 2013 - exploded with excitement, showing an incendiary charisma rarely heard, not to mention a veteran's grasp of engaging songwriting. But for however filthy 'n' furious His Best Deceit was, less than a year later, the band released the Anneliese EP: a catacombed dirge that proved there were yet more haunting depths to this still-young band.
Between the two records, Possession's name was already on the tongues of legions worldwide - which is all the more remarkable considering their canon, to that point, consisted of six songs. Alas, in 2015 arrived the 1585-1646 mini-album. The band's longest work to date at 25 minutes, 1585-1646 studiously explored more concerted lyrical themes, marrying the conceptualism of the Anneliese EP to a still-unfolding, still-unholy synthesis of ancient Metal of Death and the pitchest-black metal. It was the band's boldest move to date, teasing their now-rabid fanbase with greater glories to come...and now they have arrived with Exorkizein.
Effectively a summation of Possession's powers and prowess they displayed across their first three recordings, Exorkizein is the bold and brazen first-album statement that will fully write the band's name into black/death legendry. Its fury is more feral and unchained than ever, its downshifts into doom more swirling and fatal, and its recording is as rounded and robust as a highly anticipated debut requires. And yet, for however much this is all unmistakably Possession, Exorkizein marks a change in lineup: vocalist Mestema is out of the band and has been replaced by Viriakh, while S.Iblis enters as new bassist. Far from a disabling blow, this lineup shakeup has resulted in a stronger Possession than ever before, brimming with madness and mystery, slavering with sin and ever prepared to strike. The youthful discordance has slightly, subtly given way to an ageless confidence, without one sacrifice of the core ethics of authentic, deeply-felt black/death METAL.
More or less written in one year, with no stopping doing gigs, Possession's Exorkizein was recorded once again at Blackout Multimedia with Phorgath (Enthroned, Emptiness). Artwork was also once again created by underground icon Chris Moyen. And Possession once again chose Invictus and Iron Bonehead to release the album because they're "a loyalty-above-all kind of band, and that is part of our identity and strength." A triple CD and LP album with an overall playing time of 112
minutes, the record builds a monumental cathedral on its own.
While the groups’ second and monolithic output Doom of
the Occult appeared like a classical oratorio with its lengthy
proportions, this magnum opus will be of biblical dimensions,
a funeral mass of unseen yet unheard reverberations.
Alongside the numerous musical interludes named temples
and gates, for which the band is known for, the actual nine
Metal songs defy any exegesis.
Epic yet utmost angry, brutal yet extravagantly dark, if your
soul survives a complete listening of mindblowing tracks
such as Seven Altars Burn in Sin or The Heart of King Solomon in
Sorcery without being dragged into the abysmal regions of hell,
your senses will be left in disbelief.
From the unusually demanding opener I Am Christ until the
final musical ennead In Meditation on the Death of Christ, the
album serves as a gateway to truly divine spheres. Gaining
inspirations from such untouchable sources as Morbid Angel,
Candlemass or even Metallica (just hence the wonderful
middle part of Seven Altars Burn in Sin with its incredible harmonics)
intertwined with Necros Christos’ very own kind of
atmosphere and way of composing songs, Domedon Doxomedon
shall be their grandiose testament: the legacy of a band that
never bowed to any trends, never compromised in their music
nor did they ever walk the easy way.
Dom. Doxom. has to be heard to be believed, and the earth
will tremble.
