Dublin DJ and producer Josh Coakley has been earning his stripes performing at clubs and festivals up and down the country, supporting everyone from Patrick Topping, Solardo and Fisher, to Michael Bibi, Route 94, Eats Everything and Alan Fitzpatrick, plus performing international shows in Holland, Gibraltar, Greece, Spain & Ibiza to name a few.

Today, however, we focus on the production element of Josh Coakley's game, as we premiere his remix of Niceteed - Nothing But Pain, which is available to pre-order today. Having already released on labels such as HOUZ, Swerve Digital, Pacha Recordings, Luxor Music, Recklas Records, Sony Music, Universal Music, Warner Music and Sleazy Deep to name a few, today Josh can add Chapeau Music to the list.

Chapeau Music is a label and event company based in Italy and the Netherlands, running parties and releasing house and techno music since 2011. During these years, they have been releasing music from both rising talents and well-known artists alike. 

Josh remixes the track 'Nothing But Pain', by Italian artist, Niceteed, which is from Niceteed's forthcoming 4 track EP, due out on June 25th. Primarily Josh is known for his tech-house style, but with this track he gets the opportunity to flex his production techniques, giving the already rawness of the original track a club-thumping makeover, primed and ready for the return of nightclubs and dance music events.

Raised in the Irish raving party scene, now relocated in Newcastle, Ben Prophet is one of the talents to keep an eye on.

His "Hyper Funk EP" perfectly represents his dominant sounds and the main track style, mixing gritty, piercing drums with fragmented sounding vocals and drums to create a raw blend of techno-induced beats.

The remix of Tommy 2000 gives a DnB touch to the EP, rolling drums and crumbling sounds command the sound of his re-interpretation.

Chapeau Music goes from strength to strength here with an amazing produced four-track EP from the up and coming producer hailing from Newcastle: Max Page.

His first ever release kicks off with “Shellin it”, a powerful track dominated by an arpeggiated synth led and a stately kickdrum that sets the tone for what’s to come thanks to well thought out blend vocal sounds with relentless drums throughout. This track gives a proper idea about the Max Page sound right now.
The remix is entrusted to the skilled hands of Oots, a Melbourne-Based DJ and Producer that provided a peak time jungle influenced banger remix keeping in mind the soul and the intentions of the Original Mix. The impressive hardcore aesthetics and sweaty hug energy and overall mood of this remix make it a pure gem to be played out.

“Kudo” has a racy approach on Techno keeping the spirit of the “90s” vibe. Soft rhodes in contrast with pumping synths and short vocal shots. The energetic texture that this track has is driven by few elements well combined on the drumline, all these things make this track a definitely versatile must have inside the DJ bag.

The final track “Poolside” leads us in the happiest part of the ep, a piano house track that perfectly fits the end of this EP. The solid bassline marks the direction to be taken during the dance, the vocal elements help to create an ethereal atmosphere that creates impatient waiting for the various drops. A song that takes us to the poolside, and does it with absolute style.

From the courtesy of Ika Sile and DJ Physical, two of the most promising and cutting-edge techno producers around right now, we are here to present: "All Set EP".

"All Set" opens this amazing EP, dense acid lines and pressing vocal sentences based on a hypnotic drumline with leads and pads characterized by a slightly trance touch. On a track like this it becomes law to move fast, being carried away by the energy of the foggy mood of the song.

The remix of "All Set" comes from one of the Italy's finest techno producers, Hanubis. His reinterpretation of the original makes the song even stronger and more impactful, 4/4 straight kick and deep bass are the Hanubis trademark. A remix designed to literally destroy the dancefloor.

The EP continues on the 140 BPM mix of "Not In a Hurry" realized in collaboration with DJ Physical. Here at the beginning you can feel the emotion of touchin' music with your hands, listening to the sweet synth that opens the track, moving fast forward to an emotive blend of obscuritiy and shine that feels like it could belong to high-ranking places as well as transgressive underground clubs. "Not In A Hurry" is properly touching on everything, from 303s to ethereal trance synths and techno breakbeat. Stepping inside the darkness, 'Diamond Extractor' quite literally sounds like an old school 90' obscure rave techno track, its ethereal synth pattern and textures providing a sonic elevated and alienating experience.

"All Set EP" explores the outer limits of techno, trance and future-facing club in an EP both pushed and entrancing.

This Four tracker contains only floor tracks full of 909 drums, brilliant patterns & groove baselines with the touch of the Juno machine. 

"Explorer" will grab your attention from the beginning till the end it all. Moving hips alert!
"Terraform" is an extension of the Exploration. Yet, more funky, groove, … this track will get the audience swiped of their feet in no time. Great set filler.

On the B-side, Binny takes it to a whole other level. "Minimise" is a combination of repetitive drums with a stripped & highly mental stabbed synth that will turn people in to zombies. Killer for the floor. Up there with the big boys, if you ask us.

The more gentle & sweet melodic track "Alpha Juno" is a great tribute to the magnificent machine by Roland.
Fits every DJ set for sure.

Moscow's Monasterio resident Stef Mendesidis has once again been tapped by techno superstar Ben Klock to concoct a crucial techno EP for his Klockworks imprint. The four distinctive cuts that appear on the release have become essential peak-time ingredients in the label head's DJ sets.
