https://soundcloud.com/hinnnng lives in Zürich and is involved in Zentralwäscherei, the community-driven space for arts, culture & music, he also co-curates their Outsiders Residency on Kiosk Radio. He has an odd obsession with the sound of soft things landing just right on a flat surface. He dreams of one day locking eyes with a capybara in the wild, and craves for the outdoors but doesn't find comfort in camping. Working in gastronomy for years, and ever since worrying that serving one course too late will disrupt the entire dining experience, he regularly burns his mouth while quickly eating a hot meal, without letting it cool down. Life without Vietnamese food would be incomplete. He navigates life as both architect and cultural worker, and hosts the Domestic Mind Wandering show on Callshop Radio.

Hing's mix meanders through different frames of mind while changing pace. Things aren’t what they seem. The woods are alive, pulsing with secrets and danger. Every tune feels like an entry to another dimension, where reality blurs. You wonder what lays beyond the whispers of the trees, you replay cryptic dreams in your mind. The atmosphere is intoxicating.
„It is like a walk in the forest, while continuously taking the wrong turn every single time. Is it a deer in the far distance? The orientation slowly dissolves, but what does it matter - I have nothing else planned for today anyway...“

The 17th Virtual Utopia update has been created by Mexico-based sonic scientist Gerhard (@esenciamx) - A DJ  who’s sound has been immersed in a positive floating ambience that has always been a great inspiration to us here at the Dream Software corporation. Also known for being the head engineer of the Escensia blog and mix series- a constant emission of quality sine-wave based content with a trademark euphoric infusion.

A two-hour audible offering illustrating scenes of a utopian future. An existence imbued with hope and optimism where cooling airs and a warming sun remind us of the balance needed to exist in harmony here. Comforting pads and ethereal softness drift amongst the various genres and tempos that really make this mix a beautiful sonic landscape. We hope you enjoy it.

Touch grass w. sucre sucre [10.12.25]

Popol Vuh – the musical collective founded by German keyboardist Florian Fricke – is inseperable from Fricke himself. The spiritual engine of the project, Fricke was a true citizen of the world, well travelled and resolutely open minded, absorbing new cultures, spiritualities, and most importantly music with studious interest. 

Fricke accquired one of the first Moog II synthesisers in Europe in 1969, and thus Popol Vuh began as a pioneering electronic music act. Eventually Fricke and his collective abandoned electronic for expansive accoustic arrangements inspired by pre-Colombian American music, Tibetan music, African music and beyond, often working in tandem with another singular German auteur – filmmaker Werner Herzog.
