I named the file for this song "fooling around" and then it ended up being one of the songs that I've spent the most time working on. This is the same thing that happened with "When It Snows", and I don't know why my brain works like this. 

Anyways, I wanted to make a song about important it is that we just have honest connections with people. I hate how society makes it seem like we have to fake our feelings and hide our insecurities, when we just need to recognize that we're all human, and we connect the strongest through our weaknesses.

I was pretty frustrated that instead of it melting, we got another 8 inches of snow. Then I remembered that I used to love it when it first snowed as a kid, and how I'd always be outside in my snowsuit, trucking around the culdesac. That's where this song came from.
