With the impending arrival of the warmer climes of summer and one which will taste all the better as we start to the leave the doom and gloom of the last year behind us the brilliant @Exploited Records are soon to land what could very well be one of the soundtracks  for what will hopefully be a summer of celebration. 

@onobandmusic are a French electro disco duo haling from Paris. Their previous outings have already seen them quite rightfully pick up some stellar support from the likes of Lauren Lavern on BBC R6 music, Radio Nova & Tsugi in France. 

Their latest offering is a sublime double header in the shape of 'Don't You Know' featuring the silky vocals of Praa which is backed up by the festival boom of 'In Spekzion'.

'Fayer’s 18th release features a new name for the family: the German duo Avidus.

“Together” is about the pandemic. People feel lonely, scared, depressed. We all are alone in this world so, doesn’t this mean we are alone together? This song is also a message of hope and unity. There is a hunger for change, for feeling, touching other people and life.
We are going through this “Together”.

Remixing this beauty, Kevin De Vries and Argentinian talent Santiago Garcia. While Kevin’s remix travels to the more clubby and powerful side, Santiago goes down with the bpms to 112 but keeping the intensity and the dancefloor vibe of the original track.

"We were asked to say a few words about this song. Maybe it will become a bit more than a few. I will try to keep it short. This track is obviously about the pandemic. Something that still doesn't feel real but more like a movie. And yes, it's a terrible movie. People feel lonely. Are scared. Depressed. In the worst case they have lost. A Friend. A Mother. Or just someone they knew. Every life is a universe. So it's far away from our intention and the meaning of this song to relativize any of that. But what about looking at it from another perspective for a moment? Just a bit. With a little hope. Yes, We are alone. All of us. Nearly everyone in the whole world. So aren't we somehow alone together? So many people had been lonely and scared long before Corona. Had nearly lost their mind in depression and desperation. And they were lonely, because they fell out of the system. Didn't fit in. Not only the political systems. But the systems in people's heads. The system of our judgement about others. What if there is a slight chance that this system could actually change? Not long ago, we had another crisis. People seeked refuge in Europe to escape from horror we can't even imagine. And something changed. Not everywhere. Not in every mind. But I really believe that I could see it. Then a strong movement rised to finally rescue this earth. Isn't that change? And now this. I can see it on the streets these days. The people have a hunger. They want to make a step outside. Feel life. And most of all...See, smell, taste and feel other people! This step outside could be a step away our egos. It could be a big step closer to love. It's a terrible disease. But right now the time has come and it's about what we learn from this situation. That might sound naive or pathetic to some. But it's simply the meaning of the song. That we are together."

'Presenting their second release of the year, Ruben Karapetyan’s RKP imprint welcomes Nacres to the label for his debut single. With a career that spans three decades, Turkish artist Nacres was a fixture of his country’s nightlife for many years, DJing at some of Istanbul’s trendiest venues, most notably Andromeda, Club 2019 (Twenty) and Taxim Night Park. A lengthy hiatus from the industry would see Nacres return in 2018 when his career as a producer would officially begin. On the strength of early tracks 'Nibiru' and 'Grand Jete', the Turkish artist established himself amongst the progressive house community and inturn landed releases via Bonzai Records, Droid9 and his own Soundeluxe Records imprint. Now, adding RKP to his resume, Nacres debuts on the label with ‘Naturalize’, alongside remixes from Kyotto and Mayro. 

Getting the release underway and sitting as one of Nacre’s most engaging productions to date is the original mix. Warm beats and a full, rolling groove set the foundation for a narrative of phasing percussion and tranquil arps. Pushing a deep meditative mood into the break; Nacres marries wispy effects with rising modulation across the mood lifting interlude, building anticipation with each successive pass, as arpeggiated fragments open up, before eventually giving way to a thumping drop and hypnotic finale.

Making his label debut with the first interpretation of ‘Naturalize’ is Kyotto. First emerging in 2017, Sri Lankan artist Kyotto was quickly tipped as one of his country’s most promising progressive house artists. Releases via JEE Productions, Mango Alley, Sound Avenue and his own CRFT Music imprint have been recent discography highlights, while Hernan Cattaneo continues to be steadfast with support. Continuing to rise out of his country’s electronic landscape, Kyotto now debuts on RKP with a gorgeous take on ‘Naturalize’. Smooth and groovy across the first movement, Kyotto continues his stylized ways with buoyant percussive arrangements and emotive chord changes creating a smooth path into the main break. Sitting comfortably in a poignant yet thought provoking space, Kyotto’s emotive melodies rise out of calming atmospheres as the interlude evolves, adding perfectly to its meditative nature, before eventually breaking off into a heartwarming drop and charming conclusion.

Providing the second and final interpretation of ‘Naturalize’ is Mayro who also makes his label debut. Based in Argentina, Pablo Maneiro aka Mayro has been producing a blend of progressive, deep and melodic house for the better part of a decade. World class DJs Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Miss Monique and Nick Warren have all taken a liking to his sound, which has found a home on Mango Alley, Siona Records, WARPP and his own Traful imprint. Continuing on an upwards tradegory as we enter the year’s second half, Mayro adds RKP to resume with a powerful rendition of ‘Naturalize’. Taking inspiration from the original, Mayro flexes his free-thinking muscles and crafts a version that lands comfortably between the surreal and exotic. Neatly manicured percussion and a thunderous, hip-swinging groove set the course for snatches of trippy effects, which ultimately highlight the first act. Coming to full fruition across the main break, tension rises as the primary theme emerges, while never letting go of its tranquil vibration, pushing onwards to a glowing final act.'

Tash's Movement Recordings begins the new year by welcoming Can Durmus to the label for his debut EP. The Turkish artist has been rising through the electronic underground with releases on Click Records and Symmetric Records. His unique blend of progressive house and melodic techno has earned praise from some of the world's foremost DJs, while also landing high chart positions on Beatport. Now getting 2020 off to a great start he debuts on Movement Recordings with the three track ‘Gravity' EP.

Beginning with the title track Can crafts a dark, sinister creation that's nicely geared for peaktime play. Punchy beats and rolling bass unite for a powerful low end, while piercing stabs and fiery percussion add mightily to its electric nature. Spacey and dramatic, astral arps take the narrative into a tense break, melting down to emotive chord changes and a bright tonal motif, before a lengthy build cues a powerful drop.

‘Algorithm' follows suit with an equally energetic approach. Robust rhythms carry the rolling groove while exotic effects and wispy atmospheres sweep across the stereo field. Once again drama and tension continue to rise, as a well-crafted break and clustered drum rolls reset the groove for a cosmic finale.

The peak time sensibility continues with the third and final selection ‘Unknown Machines'.It's bulbous kick and charged underbelly provide a perfect balance of bounce and drive. Sinister stabs and ethereal vocals layer the subterranean groove, as the framework strips down into the main break. Spanning nearly two minutes in length, the centrepiece builds drama through acid-like clusters and a massive drum roll, eventually reaching a fiery crescendo to round out the EP on a strong note. It makes for a superb Movement Recordings debut for Can Durmus, who has certainly gotten the new year off to a great start.
