Labels. We sometimes need them to be able to easily identify things. But what happens when the labels have negative connotations? Do we simply not use them or do we actually try and change them?

Hip hop made in Australia has a lot of diversity within it’s sound, it’s scenes and in the cultural backgrounds of the artists. To bunch it all together under the label of ‘skip hop’ is not only lazy, but offensive to some. In this song, Hau addresses this topic through passion and experience over tough, bouncing production by Sydney duo, The Goods.

‘Skip Hop’ also features the vocals of LTC - a young and exciting new artist representing our nation’s capital, Canberra It's the second single from Hau’s forthcoming debut solo LP, ‘The No End Theory’, due out September 25th on new label House of Beige.

Hau returns in 2016 with a follow up to his debut solo album; a new killer single, 'Sleep'. Entirely written by Hau, brought to life by the stunning vocal performance of Sarah Corry (singer of Left.) and produced by Miracle, this dancehall-inspired track is an instant ear worm.   'Sleep' shows even after 20 years in the game, Hau is in his best form; he continues to challenge and redefine how local hip hop can sound.  Despite the title, don't sleep on this one.

Hau returns with a bass-heavy monster just in time for the festive season. With production again handled by Miracle, Hau enlists the vocal stylings of one of grime’s biggest stars, Footsie. Footsie is usually found trading bars with D Double E as part of the Newham Generals and producing hits for the likes of Skepta (‘Detox’), Dizzee Rascal (‘Temptation’) and grime’s godfather, Wiley (‘Reel Off’). With Hau, Miracle and Footsie in the mix, no sound system is safe this summer.
