During the late 70's in New York, the NYCC bridged the gap between African-American gospel and the soul, funk, and disco influenced-rhythms coming out of Philadelphia. 'Easy to be Hard' is from a 1979 compilation that showcased soul-disco arrangements of songs from the musical, Hair.
