Howitzer Records 04 welcomes Vancouver’s own AWood to the label with their single ‘Holding On’.
One of the best house and techno acts in the city, you can catch AWood at some of Vancouver’s premiere clubs and parties including Babes on Babes, Celebrities and Gorgomish to name a few. AWood’s talent is quickly becoming recognized on the national level as well, recently playing extended sets in Calgary and Toronto, and made their debut at the legendary Shambhala Music Festival in 2022. 
‘Holding On’ is a minimal tech house groover driven by layers of rolling percussion and spacey synths that support the track’s smooth and nostalgic vocal. AWood’s ‘Holding On’ is an evocative banger that feels like you’re driving off into the sunset after kissing your relationship goodbye.

The Haus Catz crew was founded in 2018 and their sound revolves around a wide-ranging palette of house and techno featuring breaks, lo-fi, and leftfield cuts. The Haus Catz roster includes Tailspin, DJ PurRpLeXeD, and Pounces, and as Haus Catz they have hosted multiple residencies and takeovers in Denver including their own parties with Madam X, Hammer, Baltra, dj poolboi, Luke Hess, Foans, and Gila. Since their inception, they have also opened the stage for lo-fi house favorites Ross From Friends, Leon Vynehall at Meow Wolf, Barry Can't Swim, Will Saul, and Kill_Frenzy.
Their debut “Club Nip, Vol. 1” EP was released on their newly founded Catz Trax label in 2022 with radio support from Baltra and Ouri as well as Spotify Track IDs charting by Dameeeela. Their sophomore Club Nip, Vol. 2 EP was recently released on their label with advance support from Martyn Bootyspoon, DJ Plead, Dark Sky / Benyayer, and Heartwerk. Recently, Haus Catz have been working on more original productions that encapsulate the sound and spirit of their live performances - moody, groovy, and pspspsychedelic.
