After a standout collaboration with Huxley last year, essential UK artist Hauswerks is back with two more of his tasteful club weapons. Hauswerks has been at the sharp end of house and electro for more than a decade now. Appearing on the days finest labels from Hot Creations to material, he has also worked with the hottest talents around from Doorly to Josh Butler. On his own, though, you hear the artist’s very singular take on moving grooves, and that’s exactly the case with both of the brilliantly sci-fi tinged tracks here. 

The excellent ‘After Dark’ opens things with steel plated drums and a spooky sense of atmosphere. It’s a high tempo house cut that really gets you into a trance as spacey synths, colourful drums and rugged bass underpins the whole thing. The arrival of some pixelated chords and celestial keys really finish of this cosmic journey in style. 

On the flip, ‘Hidden’ is a little funkier, with loopy stabs and rolling drums getting you up on your toes. Vocal sounds are off in the distance and more well-crafted synth work brings plenty of colour and scale to the track so that it really will sweep up the club and take it to the next level.

Hauswerks never misses, and these latest two tracks are another fine example of that

Two UK titans in Hauswerks and Doorly team up for a debut on Get Physical that packs a real punch across three new tracks, while the legendary Gene Farris also features.
Hauswerks has been at the sharp end of house and electro for more than a decade now. Appearing on the day’s finest labels from Hot Creations to Material, he’s worked with collaborator Doorly before to great effect. Doorly is of course a global player with recent credits on Cajual, Play It Say It, and his own imprint, Reptile Dysfunction. He’s a main room house man who plays headline gigs around the world and between this pair they cook up truly powerful tracks.
First up is the excellent ‘Put Your Back Into It’, a sharp tech house tune with solid kick drums, kaleidoscopic colours and crisp, snappy percussion that drives it all forwards. Chicago veteran Gene Farris delivers a classic spoken world house vocal that encourage you to dance and makes this one a timeless hit.
Next is ‘Power of the Mind,’ a quicker and more driving house tune that has sci-fi synths shooting across the face of the metallic hits and kicks. It's a fluid groove that’s designed to take the crowd to the next level as a spoken word monologue imbues it with a futuristic spirit.
Last of all, the slick ‘Ayahuasca’ pops off thanks to the rubbery kicks and freaky bits of sound design that take you into another realm. It’s a track with plenty of subtle builds and explosive drops that relentlessly marches onwards.
These are three high functioning, high impact tracks for the most energetic moments in the night.

Hot Creations and VIVa favourite SEFF unleashed ‘Reach’ EP on Swerve Digital: a fierce two-tracker with remixes from Hauswerks and Sooney. A former VIVa Warriors resident with several EPs signed to Steve Lawler’s celebrated label, SEFF can count Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Richy Ahmed and many more as loyal fans of his productions. He released the huge three-track vinyl release ‘Jack’s Back’ on Hot Creations back in 2014, with his tracks getting regular support from some of the most critically acclaimed DJs on the scene to this date.

Now, rolling into 2018 in style, SEFF drops the two-track ‘Reach EP’ on Swerve Digital, backed up with superb remixes from Hauswerks and Sooney, plus an Arp Trip mix by SEFF himself.Leading the way ‘Reach’ is a sleazy, low-slung house cut that chugs powerfully along on thunderous drums and a sizzling lead line. Raw and uncompromising, it epitomises SEFF’s approach to production and is an absolute gem of a house record. ‘Valhalla’ treads a deeper, more twisted, with warped vocals and rolling drums leading you down the dancefloor rabbit hole. On the remix front, Hauswerks ups the tempo of ‘Valhalla’, transforming it into a tense, seething tech house cut, with a hugely satisfying drop. Sooney sharpens the edges of ‘Reach’ for a tough, scything house workout, while completing the package, SEFF’s own Arp Trip remix of ‘Reach’ emphasises the interplay between its blistering synth lines, with heady, tripped-out results.

Hauswerks and Manu Gonzalez return to Roush in late September to reveal their first ever collaborative EP
entitled ‘Masaya. With releases between them on top tier imprints including Moon Harbour, AVOTRE, Nervous
and Knee Deep In Sound, Hauswerks and Manu Gonzalez have become notable rising names and regular
fixtures within some of Europe’s most prestigious venues and line ups, including appearances at INPUT
(Barcelona), Egg (London), Benimussa Park (Ibiza) and Ministry Of Sound (London) in the past year alone. With
further collaborations alongside the likes of Huxley, Josh Butler and Secondcity, here we see the two producers
combine for the first time as they both return to Hector Couto’s Roush to deliver two fresh productions in the
form of their ‘Masaya’ EP. Opening proceedings, title track ‘Masaya’ reveals a production packed full of groove
as the duo work organic percussion patterns and resonant vocal chants to bring an infectious tribal-esque
groove to the forefront, whilst ‘Return To The Tribe’ keeps things rolling as the energy levels are stepped up and
Gonzalez and Hauswerks combine driving drum loops and slick synth lines to great effect.
