Somewhere In Time (Part II)

Burning Man was nothing like I wanted it to be. All facts pointing it wasn’t my time to be there. No luck with tickets, close friends who would usually push me giving up, expensive and long flights.. etc. 
Facts aside, came to me an inner-voice so powerful I couldn’t help but to listen to it, and by August I finally started to plan. Less than a month to go, no tickets, no camp or tent or RV.. By that time it was also way too late to join most of the line-ups. I started to act as everything was set and done anyways: got my flights, spread the word, and slowly the stars started to align.

When at the “Burning Man that I wanted”, I didn’t see the friends I planned to see, I didn’t play the places I thought I could, I didn’t catch most of the events I wanted to. I just had the Burning Man that I needed, and it was a wild and freaking dusty one!!! Played only a few and special sets, had more time to explore amazing art, meet new beings, tighten up old friendships or get lost in the dust!

We were all there for a reason. In the immediate sense to see the “burning of the man”: a symbol of structure and government and judgment. And when the fire show started, all I could hear was exclamations of anger and pure wonder. In a grander sense, however, we were all there to expand our views, bodies, minds, and spirits, exploding like the flames in front of us into a rebirth!

What I gained from this experience was a greater understanding of the power of the collective, and that things happen exactly how they are supposed to. To trust the process and work together. Everyone in that desert did their part to build the city, to provide an experience for each soul that passed by. In this moment of fire and destruction, we used our power as one to build an energy field filled with creativity, love, and compassion.

Burning Man - Waking Dreams

Thrilled to share the recording from my debut at StereoBar last week. I had the best time finally playing at this infamous club and I was so humbled to see many familiar faces on the dance-floor. Energetic crowd, super friendly staff and the best DJ booth helped me play a set that truly conveys the message I wanted to pass.

This marks the end of my longest hiatus in releases since I started creating music. Writer’s block is part of the process and a constant battle for me. I’ve learned the hard way that there’s no shortcuts to beat it other than patience and perseverance, and that sometimes the hardest part is not creating music, but to sit down to create, and to be vulnerable that is not everyday you’re going to write your best piece. Show up everyday regardless, give your best, and the results will come.

Akana is a word taken from the indigenous language Tupi-Guarani, from Brazil and other parts of south-america. It’s about dreaming of summer during dark times.. it’s about dreaming of better days! I’m glad the day to share it with you has finally arrived 💛

Brooklyn-based imprint Sounds of Khemit proudly announces its next sonic journey—Harder Still EP, a powerful four-track release from the collaborative minds of King Ben and Lazarusman, with remix support from Hauy (All Day I Dream) and Amadori (Rummel, Barcelona).

This EP is a deep and evocative conversation between poetry and rhythm, introspection and motion. It emerges from a cross-continental dialogue: Lazarusman, South Africa’s unmistakable voice of deep house and electronic poetry, meets King Ben, the Swiss producer known for his intricate and deeply textured productions.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for tuning in.

Here is my set recorded  on December 28, 2025 - at the legendary Stereo Montreal—a recording of a truly special night. This was my final date at Stereo as a Montreal resident, a place that has profoundly shaped my sound. I took over at midnight, following beautiful sets from Lee Burridge and Dexter Crowe.

Playing this one was emotional. Knowing it would be my last here for a while, I felt the full weight of the inspiration this club has given me. So much of the music I've made in recent years was born from the energy of this dance floor.

I feel incredibly privileged to have had these moments here, and I hope to return. Stereo is more than just one of the best-sounding rooms in the world, with its incredible lights. What makes it sacred is the respect of the crowd—a community that treats the space like a temple. A crowd that comes with open heart, ready to dive in, transform, and be free. No phones, no videos—only presence.

This is for you dancers, and for everyone who believes in the power of a dance floor. I hope you can feel a piece of that night in this recording.
