Komponente & Kurilo is a Ukrainian electronic duo 
recording trancehouse on analog instruments from the 90s. 

A side track "Witchmaster" is a rolling, hi tech, reductionist groove with 
melancholic chords and a tripped out scrape on every club that's truly mind melting. 
A2 is "From The Picture Through The Light", a more mysterious and subdued 
effort with a broken beat, tripped out vocal samples and rising, 
tunnelling chords that altogether combined will push you right into the void. 

On the flip, "Gilgamesh" turn more raucous thanks to the nervous bundle of cowbells 
and snares spewing from all angles. "The Beginning of Time" gives it a more acid and energetic makeover with 
a more rolling groove, the track a wonky and claustrophobic vibe that makes you feel like you're 
dancing on downers.

Vladimir Gnatenko, as I can see, got, probably the warmest feedback from the fans amongst producers on the whole Ukrainian electronic scene. If you miss his live performance anywhere – you’ll hear about it for a long time after it happens from the people who didn’t. We're pleased to announce the next outing from Robert James & Burnski's new project, North Phase, here on Seven Hills!

Comprising four brilliant, groove-laden tracks, the Cyclone EP is one of our favourites so far. The title track, Cyclone, bumps and rolls atop a sneaky bassline, and keeps you locked in with a unique, shifted synth hook. The similarly pumping Time Zone Unknown keeps the groove straighter, with added gnarliness from a crisp synth line designed to cut its way to the centre of the dancefloor.

Over on the flip, the dark and super-heavy Room 1 spirals and builds before hitting hard with a chestplate bassline. The more lilting Groove Merchant sits on the B2, slightly sci-fi and rounding things off in style.

Gamine strikes back with the fourth release, this time by Signal Corps, a duo consisting of Tom Butcher and Mike Perkowitz. Stepping between the nicer side of electro and punchy new beat, this solid five-tracker is a serious tool for dancefloors and afterhours. Groovy rhythmic arps and beautiful acidic melodies are combined to produce the perfect blend between old-school flavour and contemporary effectiveness.

Resurfacing a precious gem released back in 2013, we once again make justice by pressing it into pristine 12” polyvinyl glory. Enjoy!

Signal Corps - Echelon EP (GMN04)

“snapout”, a Tokyo-based party crew of DJs and Producers, will launch a record label in early 2022.

“snapout” members include veteran DJ yama', who has been DJing since 1998, Takashi Himeoka, who has been making tracks since 2014 and has released on “Phreak” and “Cabaret Recordings” labels, Hisashi, who has played at several regular parties in Tokyo and contributed a track to “How High” label at the end of 2021, and Riku Sugimoto.

For the first single, Riku Sugimoto has created three tracks based on the atmosphere of “snapout”, adopt the essence of Detroit/Dutch techno and Chicago/UK house from the early 90s and early 00s.

Having established Partisan with a bedrock of essential talent, Anthea steps out with her debut EP;

“Smile” kicks off the EP with infectious techno, a healthy dose of acid, and funk induced drum programming. “Everything is AOK” plots a deeper, trippier course with intricate layers of synth and drum patterns to create a truly hypnotic mind and body workout. Whilst “NRG For DAZE” presents the softer side of Partisan, bringing gentle pads into the mix without losing the all-important acid undercurrent that makes for such powerful dance floor material.

Her State Of Mind EP is the perfect statement on where Anthea is at on her artistic trajectory, as a producer, DJ and label head.
