Havelin is the musical outlet for Alex Zaichkowski, a singer/songwriter/actor, born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. He has been involved in the local Edmonton music scene since the early age of 14. Performing in a variety of venues in his hometown throughout his teens, he then began participating in several vocal competitions which at 16, landed him as a finalist on the sixth season of the YTV televised singing competition THE NEXT STAR.  His success on the show led to his current engagement as John on LOST & FOUND MUSIC STUDIOS (Family Channel/Netflix).

Channeling his inner folk writer, stepping away from the pop sounds that come hand in hand with music television, Havelin strives to tell a story with his music. Lyrically taking cues from early influences of Dan Mangan, Tom Waits & Father John Misty, the words are straight from the heart keeping the music simple, honest and cutting right to the core
