My friend, producer/drummer, and band member Jonathan Hendrix and I set out to step away from the somber, sorrowful tone of the hymnal version of 'What Child Is This,' and celebrate the message of Truth and Hope, by transforming this beloved classic into an anthemic celebration for a new age. We've layered raw distorted guitars, huge vocals, massive drums, airy strings, synths, melodic keys and more to make up a rock arrangement that gives the Christmas message a new home in your year round playlist. An updated recording of 'The Cost.' This song references Phillipians 1:21, and James 4:14, and  what the Bible teaches about living for eternity. My band had always intended to record this, but we were never able to. It was great to play at shows. I hope someday we can play it live again.
