I’m excited to share my very first track on SoundCloud! This remix is a special one: it was created as part of a music production challenge with friends, where we looked at creating a remix of a pre-1990s track from Africa.

For this challenge, I chose Michel Legris’s iconic "Elida", a track that’s close to my heart as it hails from my homeland Mauritius. "Elida" is steeped in the rhythms of Sega music, a genre that captures the vibrant spirit of Mauritian culture and history.

In my remix, I’ve infused "Elida" with modern electronic beats, keeping its soulful Sega roots alive while giving it a contemporary twist. The result is a lively blend that celebrates heritage and innovation, inviting listeners to explore the dancefloor in a whole new way.
