A song that was intially written for the charity Debra ireland as a way of fundraising for them. This song actually exists in two different versions one being this version and the other being the housbeound and down version which features Darren Kearney on the verses who is a rapper and you can check this version out on the housebound and down soundcloud page. It was the first time that we did two different versions of a track and the track was written pretty fast with both the music and the lyrics taking a short amount of time to write. 

Its basically one of those tracks where you start messing with an arpeggiator and the rest of the track writes itself!

Hayfield - Home (Radio Edit) 2012

Probably the equivalent of a 12inch version of home, this was the full version actually written before the radio edit was done and in our opinion is the way this track should be listened to. It is definitely more atmospheric and has a vibe to it.  

Hayfield - Home (Original EP Version) 2012

Hayfield are an Irish electronic group which consists of David Hayden and John Caulfield.
David Hayden is the instrumentalist and producer of the band and John Caulfield is the singer/songwriter.
David and John are childhood friends who met in primary school and began experimenting with music at a very early age. 
They began making music on a Playstation using a program called Music. This thought
them the basics of arranging and producing music and melodies. However they realized this was not enough and in 2002 when they were 12 years of age they decided to build their own studio in order to further their music.
David bought a music program called Reason and used the family PC with John to originally produce electronic dance music but this all changed in 2004 when they were introduced to a wide variety of electronic, soul and dance music especially from the 70s and 80s era.
They then set about making this kind of music but giving it a modern feel. Then as their musical influences increased their sound developed into what you hear today. They went through numerous musical phases trying to find their feet and their own unique sound.
In the early stages of the band both John and David gradually fell into their separate roles as David the music composer and John the lyricist. Even though they had somewhat of a direction they were still struggling to find their feet.
It was when they start listening to electronic music like Depeche Mode, Giorgio Moroder, The Pet Shop Boys, and many other electronic and dance music artists that they decided they would like to try to make this music themselves but give it a modern edge.
Since then they have constantly worked and improved their songwriting and skills and live performances and become the band you hear today.
