Stay With Me (trial n error)

Once again, merely just an amateur practice on my dad's guitar. Trying to transition from the keys to the guitar is a little hard for me because my psychomotor skills are...terrible. I originally heard Birdy do a cover of this and I loved it, then i googled the original and loved it even more. The lyrics are amazing, they remind me that there's so much more to life.

Had a super fine jamming session with one of my uni mates a day ago and while we didn't soundcloud our cover, I decided to try the song out on my own. Of course there will be a void because there aren't any melodies and this is hideously raw.

Super casual cover or Adele because some days you just feel so Adele, it's also raining now haha. And I'm not trying to replicate her genius because I can't. Just my own take on her soulful number.

So, I recently replaced my broken capo all thanks to a kind friend of mine. Got around to doing more songs because I can finally adjust the keys instead of fiddling around with difficult chords (guitar noob here). This isn't perfect, especially where the lyrics are concerned. I relied on memory and random feel haha. But this tune is one heck of a catchy melody. (ALSO, WHO KNEW THAT MY NEW IPHONE EARPIECE WORKS AS A LEGIT MIC?!)

I apologise for not completing the song but I don't think I would do the whole song justice (lung capacity quite low). Btw, am I the only one who picks up a little teeny bit of sarcasm in the lyrics?!

Send My Love by Adele (Cover)

Please don't hate me for the mistakes. A considerably rushed job only because my fingers were hurting from helping out my friend with a guitar accompaniment for her project. In any case, I tried re-enacting the magic Elena and her band are creating all the time. BUT, I also added a little spin on it because that's what covers are for. Also, the lyrics are so beautifully poetic. I can never resist a haunting melody and intricately pieced out lyrics. Also, this might be my last cover of the year only because I'm going to be away from my instruments for a good 4 months. I am quite devastated but there're bigger adventures I have to complete at the moment. I will be back, but I have to thank all who've listened to my mediocre covers and stayed through the amateur musical skills I have. Thank you for that because I am now confidently able to say my guitar skills, though not perfect, have improved quite a bit ever since I picked it up three years ago. Because of that, I'm able to enjoy music through instruments (piano and guitar) so different, yet similar at the same time. Another thing, I'm very glad I found soundcloud through a classmate in junior college because it has been an enjoyable time sharing my covers through a social media platform unlike any other.

BACK ON SOUNDCLOUD. I heard this song on the taxi- he was a cool driver - and I'm immensely addicted. I didn't do the whole song because I was pushed for time. I don't actually have a lot of time this year because I've been swarmed with work. Anyway, I think I should just be a rebel for kicks. LOL.

While I'm obsessed with mixing sounds and vocals, I do love taking things acoustic and very much live. Therefore, my #homealonejams are extremely raw and not mixed/balanced. Forgive me for that.
