For Darius Syrossian’s remix, the Defected affiliate pulls back on the original’s elements, introducing tension and release throughout a series of entertaining builds and fresh vocal chops. ‘I’ve Got The Feeling’ ups the energy, leading into rowdy rave stabs, soaring samples, and pounding drums, leading into closing cut ‘I’ve Got The Groove’, which maintains the energy with sharp, visceral bass and skippy percussion to round out the release

Patrick Topping recruits Hyyken for ‘So Good To Me’ on Trick this July. 

Irish DJ/producer Hyyken has been banging out infectious bends of garage, baseline, house and techno on labels like Fresh Take Records, Tech City and Trick, where he last appeared with 'Acid Riddim' in April. His club-friendly style is robust and built to make an impact but never at the expense of fresh musical flavours. 

The brilliantly euphoric 'So Good To Me' is an all-out piano house belter. The drums are packed with punch, the bright chords dart up and down the scales, and a heartfelt vocal is the irresistible icing on the cake. It's full of joy and destined for open-air dance floors, boat parties, and plenty of dance floors in between. 

"It was probably the fastest I'd ever made a track! The weather was getting great again, and I was listening to so much Floorplan, I got a half day off work and went straight to the studio with an idea to make a gospel vocal house track. Kick-starting 2024 in emphatic fashion, Czech rising star Dominik Gehringer releases his highly-anticipated cut ‘Strange World’ on Purified Records. Revisiting Push’s iconic trance anthem, Dominik’s version enters a progressive dimension with masterful synth work and rumbling percussion and has already made a massive impact in sets around the world with its hypnotic presence. 

The ‘Strange World’ artwork showcases Daniel Nicholson’s spectacular still of a whale shark. Despite their imposing size, whale sharks exude an air of tranquility as they glide through the ocean, mouths agape to filter plankton-rich waters. These magnificent beings are not only the world’s largest fish, but they also hold a unique place in marine ecology as gentle filter feeders. Their longevity, reaching up to 70 years, has captured the attention of researchers keen on unraveling the mysteries of their lives. Organizations like the Marine Megafauna Foundation engage in vital conservation efforts, conducting research that not only aids in understanding the species, but also contributes to broader ocean health initiatives. Despite being filter feeders, whale sharks face threats like bycatch, boat strikes, and habitat degradation. Their slow reproductive rate makes them susceptible to population decline. They are listed as endangered according to the IUCN. 

Located on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia, Daniel Nicholson is one of the globe’s most prominent professional underwater photographers. He seeks to share the beauty and magic of the underwater world to inspire conservation and change.
