This mix was a lot of fun to put together. My inspiration for this one came from growing up in Tampa, FL. In the mid-late 90s, breakbeats were everywhere. On the radio, peoples houses/cars and even at the skating rink. I was always fascinated by b-boys and b-girls, and wanted to showcase some sounds that will get anybody up and moving! You'll expect some funk, electro, freestyle etc. in this mix and hope that it will bring back that old skool funky vibe or open you up to the world of BREAKS! 

The artwork is a sketch I whipped up. Graphics and Color was masterfully crafted by my Love and Life partner @og_galxy (Instagram) She keeps my mental light shining lol

Hay Nak0! (Josh Baker a.k.a. Phenom 1ne) is a Breakbeat and Drum and Bass DJ, originally from Tampa, FL and is currently based in Portland, OR. Hay Nak0!  is the former Co-Owner/Organizer of events and festivals under Controlled Premonition Events (09-12)

Hay NaK0!'s style ranges from 2step garage and funky breaks to hard hitting amens and booming sub base. Raised in Central Florida, the sounds of breakbeats are baked into his personal tastes until hearing the sounds of Jungle/DnB in the early 2000's.  Eventually collecting vinyl and developing his own mixing skills over the years, Hay NaK0! organized and produced events since 2002. Hay Nak0! showcases music with cuts that touch on classic samples and sounds while staying relevant to the current state of electronic music.
