Along the back rope walking
The red flags bore down
The hot summers day was just starting
A few hundred yards across
The motorway roared with the distant hum of a car engine
This would always be the sight

As it changed dramatically
The sea came nearer for the 3rd time
Uninhabited roads and sobering thoughts
The next week it was gone
Finally over for now

The progression continued
Grass was formed on the river banks
And finally
The white paint left the walls
It was all without much notice

But the culprit
Was only one
In the end
It was just the coastlines
The coastlines
