Executive Director | HRDO CENTER .. To support the Digital Expression
Hazem Hassan, a digital films director, studied Management Information System at the Advanced Academy. He has been participating in the human rights activity since 12 years. The start was in 2000 at the Association for Human Rights Legal Aid (AHRLA), in the documentation and publication unit. Hazem had many practical and professional experiences through the Egyptian civil society's institutions and initiatives. He had training workshops in the Amnesty International about the monitoring and documentation of the economic and social rights; concurrently with the period of work at the Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights as an administrator of the digital monitoring and documentation in 2011.

Hazem has established the HRDO Center to support the digital expression. He also established Madany Documentation digital channel in 2011, by which he voluntarily participated in many fruitful initiatives and experiences; aiming to build the bridge of digital communication between the human rights organizations and the societal issues as well as the society members through the internet and the new media mechanisms.

Hazem directed many digital films that issued by HRDO Center via using the new means of digital expression, represented in illustrations and animation. Further, he cooperated with Support for Information Technology Center (SITC) to produce a group of digital films about the professional standards for writing news reporting as well as the freedom of information. That helped Hazem in many ways to gain more chances to direct and produce numerous digital films; gaining professional experiences.

He is interested in networking with many central institutions operating in the field of human rights, and he is interested in reaching out to the different Egyptian initiatives, the interactive campaigns and the Egyptian youth movements.
