This is kinda weird but this is actually the first production I have ever released under my own name. I have always produced but under group names such as 2020Vision, 2020soundsystem, Chuggles, Wulf n Bear, Wolf n Flow, Otaku etc 

I have always been happy working alongside other musicians but after 2020Soundsystem recently ended I felt the desire to get into the studio and have a go myself.  I set up a basement crib, dusted off some old machines I've had for years and got busy.  So hopefully this is the first of many mixes over the coming months.

The Underwater years from 2002 and 2004 gave birth to the new Gusgus setup with Earth as the lead singer.  The involvement of Darren Emersons label manager and his successful selection off remixers for the hit "David" was important part of re-establishing this new lineup.  This was not the first interaction of the band with Darren Emerson and his label as the first release on his label was the track with Tworld, Anthem in 1994.  As some of you might know Tworld merged into Gusgus when the band was formed in 1995.  Here is one of these remixes of David, carefully remastered for you.

Josh One is a DJ and producer from Los Angeles. He originally rose to prominence in the early 90’s and through the 00’s sharing stages with a host of acts including A Tribe Called Quest, Sean Paul, Kelis, The Black Eyed Peas, Cypress Hill, Anthony Hamilton and many more. His solo recording debut ‘Contemplation’ rose to the top of the European charts including #1 in the German Dance charts. King Britt’s Funke Remix turned the reggae-esque Original into a funky, organ lead house anthem with a rolling bassline, whilst Mat Playford’s Re-Edit of King Britt’s mix caters for a much deeper, tech audience with its filtered drops and added synth lines.
