Elisa Bee returns to Stolen Goods Records with two hefty techno workouts and a remix from Cromby.

The system is down in ‘A Place In Space’, erratic bleeps dart playfully around sequenced sirens as a robotic voice presses the alarm, warning about magnetic failure. There’s no need to panic, Elisa Bee’s masterful groove turns this scene of interplanetary hardship into an exhilarating dancefloor moment, which is expertly remixed next by Irishman Cromby. Guesting on the thus-far all-Italian label, the now Berlin-based Rekids, Craigie Knowes, and Phantasy Sound artist contributes his signature house, techno and trance influences in this deep space offering. Closing out the EP, Elisa’s ‘There Might Be Other Ways’ then fires up the hyperdrives and turns on the strobelights, before slinging itself forward with ceaseless rhythm shot through with flashy synths.


Having first appeared on former NTS-host Lele Sacchi’s Stolen Goods Records in its ‘Volume 0’ compilation, Sardinia’s Elisa Bee returns to the Italian label following a busy few years. In addition to playing venues like Berlin’s Tresor and Tokyo’s Air, she’s appeared on Ben Sims’ Hardgroove and Symbolism, Truncate, and UTTU. She now unveils two new tracks on Lele’s imprint, hot on the heels of her recent ‘Sample Minds’ record on Posthuman’s Balkan Vinyl.

Dual Dimensions marks a milestone for Fides Records releasing its 20th entry in the main catalog. This split EP features labelhead Z.I.P.P.O and eclectic duo Tapefeed, each contributing two tracks to create a unique blend of sounds that capture the essence of techno.

Side A opens with Tapefeed's "Hellz Bellz" a percussive workout that delivers stripped-down, peak-time energy, perfect for driving dance floors into a frenzy. Following "Surge of Hope" takes listeners on an evolving journey, starting deep and gradually transforming into an energetic yet meditative composition.

On Side B, Z.I.P.P.O's "Satara" stands out as a 909-based techno gem. Its mind-twisting sound design, rolling lead, and mental bleeps take you on a profound auditory voyage, rich with depth and complexity. The Side B concludes with "The Strange Door" a deep techno track that combines tribal rhythms with atmospheric depth.

The second Various Artists compilation on Undertone brings together eight producers from across the US. Each track contributes a distinct voice, from hypnotic grooves and atmospheric textures to harder-edged percussion and driving low-end. 1981 an eleven year old kid gets a gift, that is the New Life 7 inch by Depeche Mode, from that very moment the cold beats of drum machines and the alien sounds of synthesizers are the soundtrack of his life, until today.Living the eighties as a teenager, he absorbed every futuristic and dark sound as a fan, new wave, goth, proto EBM, classics like Kraftwerk or Tangerine Dream ...1987 marks the switch from being passive to being active, he gets his first synth and drum machine combo as a christmas gift from their parents, a second hand Kawai Sx 240 keyboard and a Korg kpr 77 drum machine, and starts making his own noises and beats from scratch. Soon he formed his first music project, called Ballet Mecánico, with his two fellows Groof and Daniel Erbe.Heavily synth pop influenced in the beginning, their sound soon moves to darker territories after discovering Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb and later moving into proto rave sounds via the Frequencies album by LFO or the Yellow album by Orbital, as well as those lovely Detroit compilations released in the UK by Network records: Bio Rhythm and Retro techno among others. This project last until the mid nineties and left two vinyl releases.1995 is when his solo career as Hd Substance starts, releasing a track on the Electronic Generators compilation, a showcase of spanish techno pioneers at the moment, on Geometrik records, home of the seminal industrial cult band Esplendor Geométrico a stepping stone to his debut album Eleven on the also cult label Elefant Records.After more than 30 years in the business, more than 30 Ep’s and six full length albums, Hd Substance is still here as a full actor in the scene, writing, composing, remixing and playing electronic beats all over the globe, as live performer or as traditional beatmatching dj. An entire life devoted to electronic music in any form.
