A small birthday present for a very good friend of mine

Kind of merging Uehara Hiromi and György Ligeti…

Since the piece is difficult to play, this is only a Midi recording (Sibelius, directly from the score), but the recording gives a rather good impression of the music.

The rhythm is 7/8 in the right hand, a 36/8 ostinato (19+17) in the left.

Hungarian Peanuts

This track has been composed, as a birthday present, for Frank Zabel, a wonderful teacher (prof) for music theory at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf.
