Soul Tape One is a collection of tracks by Azul Loose Ties. Starting off with two house tracks in an unusually slow tempo, the tape evolves into more spherical territories before returning with a classic house groove. The central theme is the already familiar signature sound heard in previous Underground Soul releases: Repetitive off-kilter drum programming arranged with warm open pads, playful synth sounds and spoken word passages.

The B side focuses on remixes. Legendary Chicago producer Glenn Underground, laying down his signature drums on ‚Virtue‘. Label head honcho Azul Loose Ties provides a stripped down version of it.
