Welcome to the July edition of the Village Society Podcast.

This time, we're proud to feature an artist who's deeply rooted in the scene – someone who feels just as at home on the Swabian Jura as behind the decks.

DJ MAW, born in 1987 in Reutlingen, has been active since the early 2000s – as a DJ, underground event host, and sound enthusiast with a big heart for melodic techno and house.

After a longer creative break to focus on his family, he's back behind the decks: hosting the "Nightclub" radio show on Radio Fips, streaming on Twitch and Mixcloud, and appearing at hand-picked events that celebrate underground culture.

His set for us brings warmth, groove, and just a touch of something spiritual – almost like a sermon, but with plenty of room to move.

Welcome back to Draw The Line Radio Show with me, Jacki-E. This is the show that celebrates music made by female and female identifying DJs and Producers. 

Helping me Draw The Line this week it’s Lodzikovsky, born in Warsaw and raised in Wrocław. She's the first Polish techno artist to headline in Cairo and Hurghada in Egypt. Her sets are raw, immersive, and uncompromising merging hypnotic, tribal and deep techno into unforgettable sonic narratives, building deep, long form journeys from the opening kick to the last drop. From Wrocław’s concrete halls to Cairo rooftops and Berlin basements she tells stories meant to be felt, not filtered.

August completely overran me – too many plans, not enough execution. The original idea was to feature a guest mix for the Village Society Podcast, but I messed up the organization. So instead of leaving the month empty, I’m sharing something personal: my festival set, re-recorded in the studio.

Live I was nervous, I made mistakes, and my ego took a little hit. But still, people came up to me and said: “That really resonated with us.” – and I’m deeply grateful for that.

This studio version shows how I originally imagined it: raw, emotional, a bit chaotic – just like life itself. DJs screw up sometimes, and that’s exactly how we learn. And maybe that’s what makes our scene so special: it’s not about perfection, it’s about real moments.
