US based Jeff Derringer makes a welcome return to the Soma roster for his latest EP, False Flags. As usual, the Smart Bar resident serves up 3 slices of his own unique brand of Techno. 

Each track on the EP defined by it’s own colour, kicks off with Black Flags. A quite melancholic affair that still manages to weigh in heavy with its pervasive sonic rhythms. Red Flags takes a darker turn with a more direct and abrasive sound, almost sub aquatic at times, Derringer builds a solid air of tension throughout. White Flags rounds the EP off nicely on a deeper tip than the previous offerings. Broken beats play nicely to the atmospheric tones that glide effortlessly through the backdrop of the track. 

Another painstakingly crafted EP from the US native adds to the ever-growing Soma catalogue.

HE-ART's 21st release features label boss Oscar Aguilera kicking off his single with one track of clean techno groove. The title track 'Odyssey' is a moody affair with a low drone throughout that is complimented with layered synth stabs. 
Aguilera's single comes accompanied by 2 big remixes, Filterheadz's version uses reverb to create an atmosphere within the track it subtly breaks down before percussion synth hook transcends the track to deliver a killer blow. 
SAMA's remix gives a new soul to it and uses a tripped out groove to add rhythm whilst working alongside a synth pattern to keep the track chugging along.

‘Take It Back’ delivers a pumping drive the moment it fires up. Snapping percussive force and an infectious rhythmic groove will unhinge dance floors nationwide, whilst ‘Secrets of Vibration’ has a rattling, yet blistering low end presence to it.

In what’s become an annual tradition; Gregor Tresher and Petar Dundov have joined forces for another timeless tech dispatch. It’s been this way since their first collaborative foray ‘Duo Tone’ in 2011 and the results are always incredible. 

This one is particularly special… After years of releasing their collaborations on Music Man, Cocoon and Gregor’s Break New Soil, ‘Metamorphing’ is the superconductors’ debut on Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD and comes in hot pursuit of Nicole’s epic 12 minute revision of Gregor’s ‘Quiet Distortion’ earlier this year. 

We kick off with ‚Sphinx’, where a mammoth rolling drum arrangement carries an evocative riff deep into a mystic breakdown before firing it back out with an additional hook that has already been driving dancefloors insane in Gregor, Petar and Nicole’s sets throughout the summer.

‘Silo’ presents a somewhat haunted theme as echoed chimes shimmer over a deep penetrative groove rising and rising to a destination that only comes into view once you’re past the point of frenzied return. 

Finally we hit ‘Metamorphing’, a track perfectly tailored to MOOD’s dark shadowy signature; a complex weave of cosmocity, a sneaking arpeggio weaves and mutates with a fluidity that sucks you right in and refuses to let you go.

The Barcelona born and raised producer & DJ, Dave Sinner, opens up EI8HT’s 2021 account with three firecrackers on the ‘Never Enough’ EP.

With previous releases for Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave, Kraftek and Unrilis, Sinner chisels out a trio of groovy and hypnotising tracks that flaunt this flourishing producer’s talents.  ‘Never Enough’ is a sleek and breezy roller, with industrial touches to its sonic fabric, whilst ‘FXXK’ ramps up the tempo for a blistering and tropical techno romp.  ‘Endless Motion’ wraps up the EP with some teasing acidic synth work at play amongst the industrious beats.

Bristolian DJ and producer, edetto, has been immersed in his home city's thriving electronic music scene for the past few years, and comes to the attention of fellow Bristolian, and EI8HT label boss, Eats Everything, who has plucked four tracks from the rising talent to form the ‘Hustler’ EP.

Already with three self-released singles under his belt, edetto presents his drum driven productions for Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint, which has been driving intelligent and funky techno releases from the likes of Truncate, Gaston Zani, Black Girl / White Girl, Dave Sinner, as well as releases from the label bosses themselves.

Crisp and rolling techno sounds are stamped all over the ‘Hustler’ EP, each of the four cuts peppered with vocal refrains.  From the propulsive pace and rasping bleeps of the title track, to the swinging jack-trax vibes of ‘Two Toads’, edetto demonstrates his ear for infectious and spirited techno tracks that have him in good stead for a luminous path ahead.

He-Art Recordings will release my own music and collaborations, plus MUSIC BY other great values of techno and house, young or veteran, known or unknown. 
 
I will always choose for He-Art the music that I want to play for you in my sets, and fits my taste and personality.

He-Art artistic concept and design’ will be led by the Barcelona artist Dsorder, who previously worked for other influential club brands 
such as Cadenza or Monegros Festival. He has created for He-Art an especially organic new concept to make the artworks: 
he applies the physical vibration that follows the music of He-Art coming out of speakers against physical papers and inks, 
without using computer apps, bringing the label-design to a pure, abstract and conceptual art level of work.
