At only 19 years old and with releases on both Hospital Records and Med School Music, Keeno presents his debut EP “Nocturne”. Having been named in Knowledge Magazine’s top 20 producers to watch out for in 2013 and with support from the likes of London Elektricity, S.P.Y, Camo & Krooked, BCee and many more, he’s moving up in the scene fast. The UK-based producer is rapidly becoming synonymous for his ability to add orchestral and cinematic elements to drum & bass on a grand scale whilst retaining a strong dancefloor impact.

This 6 track EP features vocalist Louisa Bass and co-producer Whiney, both of whom appeared with Keeno on “No More” which dropped on Hospital Records “Sick Music 3” compilation album back in November 2012. Whiney also co-produced the popular “Isokime” with Keeno from “New Blood 013” earlier this year.

New track, took me ages until i was entirely happy with it. Still not what i would call one of my best but it's not a bad little track in the mean time until i get my true vibes and style back. Much better stuff to come once i surpass this writers block! The track is themed about having hopes and dreams of course and setting out to finally achieve them after years of procrastinating!

Apollo Dawn, an island people go to reflect on life and spare a moment to themselves. Everyone needs time to think and to heal bad memories. Memories that haunt the soul like a spectre floating above, constantly there to remind you of your regrets. It is normal to forget about it for a while but it never truly disappears, only time will make you stronger. The purple haze of the sky and the gentle cool breeze amidst the sun help to soothe you for a touching moment at least. Tears of destruction and anguish trickle down your face like a lost ship sailing the ocean gently with nowhere else to go.You will come back home, you will come back stronger and you will never cry again.

Scenic & Advisory - First Sunrise (Fracture Design Remix) [Rotation Deep]

The Masure EP features the combined efforts of Subz, Matik and Robot Redford, who've blending their names as well as their sound into a bass-fueled smoothie. This delicious concoction is most noticeably hinted within the EP's title track, which features a somber piano loop and saxophone accents undercut by some sinister bass and crisp drums. "Move On" does a great job of wearing its ingredients right on its sleeve, but not staying married to the past, with a bright funk that's sure to light up the warmth of the summer. "Perception" brings the funk but in a different vein, sticking to an understated, bouncy bass that leaves a lot of room for a hearty course of percussion and slick accents to the mix. One tune to truly get lost within. "The Lament" is true to its name, giving us a somber swan song for many to reflect and reminisce with. The way the flutes play off of the bass in that one? Superb, with a touch of jazzy seasoning. These three German mixologists have whipped up a tasty meal for you hungry bassfreaks out there - take a bite!

Having recently been picked up by the mighty Hospital Records & named in Kmag's top 20 producers to watch out for in 2013, the secret is certainly out about Keeno. With the likes of London Elektricity, BBC Radio 1xtra, Kmag & Liquicity all giving airtime to the EP, the early diagnosis looks very promising. The UK based producer is rapidly becoming synonymous for his ability to add orchestral & cinematic elements to D&B on a grand scale. This EP certainly mirrors that notion and comes packed with all the right ingredients. If you like your liquid with a dash of epic then this could be the EP for you.
